Mageslayer, no question. The lifetaps plus your own healing means you will stay in play longer, and the haste + damage means you'll be killing. That is just a bit better than running away to heal up.
By any chance do you know if items that enhance the damage of your "minions" includes idol minions?
I can confirm that items DO affect idol minion damage. Test method I used: - Set up a single seige archer (idol level 1) to fire on an out-of-the-way tower. Record tower HPs 5x. Calculate base damage as 31. - Purchase Gladiator Gloves. Record same seige archer on same
1) Raid Dead Ward 2) Divine Justice 1- Why instead of Soul Power 1? Damage adequate right now so Soul power not required yet, heal yourself and initial minions for next battle) 3) Soul Power 1- DPS goes up allowing you to kill creeps and heal faster. 4) Raid Dead Ward II- 5) Surge of Faith 1- Now you are pretty much unmovable unless teamed up on. 6) Soul Power II- 7) Raide Dead Ward III- You can crush tower
I didn't see anything like this in the guide compilation, which is kind of surprising. Overview: Self sustaining minion build, with low early mana requirements to keep you in play. Insane DPS output later in the game. You will generally out level your opponents unless outmatched in skill or your team lets you down.
General Oak, The Damage Hose
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/351056 - My guide on Oak, played as a true "general". This is the only guide I have seen thus far which addresses what I feel is the key skill for a "general", using your minions for damage that is both massive and focused, without jeopardizing your own survival. The guide also has some good ref
Also you say that 'most' demigods have around 5k hp(i've seen plenty which have 8K+ hp with decent damage) when lvl 20~
We are both correct. I am stating that value without considering gear or skills, you are stating the value seen "in real life" (which includes gear and skills). I point out that my DPS numbers also do not include gear, nor do they (except where clearly noted) include the "burst" skills, which m
Thanks folks!
Do you not have a very hard time finishing people off with [only]level 1 Penitence
Excellent question. The short answer is "sometimes I do in the early game, definitely not in the late game". The Spirits do a LOT of damage once you get them Moral-ed up, move VERY fast, and are expendable (because if you have a ward down anywhere near any creeps, they replenish themsevles quickly). &nbs
First, some numbers, for perspective: - Average base DPS of a DemiGod (not counting gear or skills) is: 104@L1, 137@L5, 184@L10, 296@L20. - A single "Spirit" minion does DPS of: 13@tier1, 21@tier4. - Ward 1 w/ 3 spirits totals 39 DPS, Ward 2 w/5 totals 78, Ward 3 w/7 totals 127, Ward 4 w/10 totals 208. - Idol DPS is 11/15/21 @tier1, 30/41/43 @tier4. - Six tier1 Idol minions totals 96 DPS, six tier4 Idol minions totals 228 DPS. - T
For me, playing a General well is all about the *minions*... 1) Get those minion idols, starting with the monk (healer), which also does very nice ranged damage. (Not counting items or triggered skills for any of the DPS comparisons which follow) - Six minions from the level 1 idols do 90% of the DPS of the average level 1 Demigod. - The six minions from the level 4 idols do DPS on par with an average level 14 Demigod. &nbs
There are many different ways to play each Demigod. I play Oak mostly, and his spirits are a BIG part of my DPS. >"Is it all about minions and focussing on them?" The minions are half of it, yes. It really helps to think of the minions as a seperate force from your demigod (a much more "expendable" force). If there is any dangerous work to be done, do not send your "very important do not die" demigod, you send the lackey squad. For example, when an enem
