well sparse is not an option, its not fun its just that there is a lot of luck in the starting position both as resources and monsters you are surrounded by not a big deal anyway, usually you can manage
Potential is a common trait, but its value increases as each combat is done and the value increases even more with subsequent traits. So it really pays off in the end. I also like Quick because you can never have too much initiative, especially as a mage. Spells that take multiple turns to cast can turn the tide of a very big battle. The main thing with high initiative is mana is a hard cap. Which means that if you don't have enough man
in the while my game is probably gone, im doing well my exploring team byt there is some lady irane who really run away, she is lvl 15 (im lvl 11) and she is uberequipped and steamrolling everything, i probably need to start the war soon and try to steal some city if i want a chance to win
Will give this a try. I do build some cities but had bad luck in getting all 3/2 2/3 style cities that take ages to level to anything meaningful. Are those areas worth settling? I know the AI spams pioneers to go anywhere it possibly can. Is this the "strategy" players should be following?
well i dont play like that but a minimum of 3 cities is needed on challenging+, imo<

I read posts about other players annihilating the AI and I'm starting to wonder if I should move on to games like tetris or if there's something a little off in the settings I've chosen. These are the settings I play with:
try building a few c
1) The decision to make Pioneers free of maintenance is a terrible one.
YES also to add to your observations that when winning a war it gets INCREDIBLY boring to have to reraze all over again all the cities the ai keep building even when you are just stomping them
2) The AI is having a lot of trouble with the monster's increased aggressiveness,
tru
After playing a few matches I really feel that the game pacing needs to slow down a few clicks. Mainly city and outpost building. There doesn't seem to be any penalties to spamming outposts and cities. At present the only way to play the game is to rush the map with pioneers, get the city spots and get the outpost out there and hoard everything before steamroling over the enemy AI.
yes its long time since w
