My AV program has flagged SdDisplay.exe as Malware, specifically Drop.Win32.MLDCpy.18513. Is this a false flag? Right now, the file is quarantined. Will this impact Start11 in a negative way? The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11. I am running Start11 version 2.11. I did an update check, and was told I am running the latest version. I am using Windows 10. AV software is Surfshark 5.11.1.

Thanks Alstein (and others). I notice that you keep mentioning mods. As far as I know, I am not playing a mod. I downloaded a mod back at version 0.8x, but am not running from the "mod" shortcut. How would I be able to tell if I am using a mod in v1.32? I am sure you are right that I shouldn't have to research something to go on quests (although you did back in the earlier beta's), but the fact remains - the game is telling me tha
I'm playing a game in 1.32, with a custom faction I designed just 'cuz. I have had a lot of problems. Let's see if I can remember them all: I can't go on quests, because I have to research Explore and Beorn's Journal (or something) first. Problem is, neither of these show up in my tech research list. So, no quests. Stats of items and characters (both NPC's and my character) are messed up. I tried to figure out what
I started FE, and clicked on New Game. I was trying to decide which faction to play, when I got called away from my PC for a while. I was gone long enough for my screen saver to kick on. I came back, entered in my password, and was presented with the faction selection screen again. It was totally locked up. The mouse moved, but I could not click on anything. I pressed Esc, to no avail. I pressed the Windows key, and then clicked on the application ico
I agree - naval units seem like a big hole. And coastal cities are a negative.
Most of you probbaly are not even old enough to remember it but Populous had terraforming. It was also usable by the AI. It created a big pain in the ass simply because the AI would create paths 1 square wide to cross large bodies of water. Terforming does have the limitation of being only usable in your territory. However with the ability to spam outpost it becomes irrelevant. The other flaw in terraforming is that th
I don't like Steam. I finally broke down and am using it, because I wanted to play SkyRim. Steam has too much DRM for me. That's why I always use Impulse whenever I can. I really like being able to archive the game on disk. That way, if Impulse ever goes away, I still have access to my games. Steam? I don't see a way to do that. Also, requiring an Internet connection to play is too much. Oh, and Steam - when an

Thanks! I have downloaded and installed it. Will have to try it now...
Makes sense. Speaking of your mod, where can I find it? I'm looking in all the wrong places, it seems. :(
Perhaps this is a little beta bug that will get ironed out in the future? Easy to miss one tag here or there. I wonder if beta 3 will have that tag be recognized. [e digicons]:)[/e] Edit: I see this is discussed later on. So, umm, never mind?
Multiple crashes. File link attached. http://www.mediafire.com/?7kscjf0ras2qt9h I experienced some strange anomalies. The one I best remember was selecting my sov's army, and clicking on a tile to have him move. He didn't so much move as he teleported. *blink* and he was gone! What made this particularly interesting was that his moves were used up, but it didn't take a tu
I played for a lot longer than I should have last night... :-) I turned off particle effects, and my crashing went away. So, hopefully particle effects will be fixed next beta drop. I created a city next to a Drake lair (it was listed as a resource, and I wanted to try to "get" it). I was told that my faction could not use that resource. I was playing as a custom Kingdom faction. I am wondering - what factions are allowed t
no more diagonal attacks
I TOTALLY disagree with this statement! I very much like diagonal attacks! I, personally, have no problems with the tech tree. I actually LIKE that some things on the magic tree require items on the other trees first, and vice versa. It can, perhaps, use some tweaking here and there, but overall, I have liked moving up the tech tree. Some of the earlier techs
The unit move thing might or might not be a problem. If you move a unit and set a multi-turn path for it, it's not going to move again when you hit end turn, it's going to wait until you hit end turn for the next turn. This is similar to the way autopilot works in GC2. Units with destinations set move at the end of a turn, and if you've moved them during a turn, their movement points are already used up for
Here is the save file for the crashes. I should mention that I played for about three hours with no problems. Then, as mentioned above, two crashes in three minutes. http://www.mediafire.com/?3ysudwc1wosxgw3
I like the option. I am using it. See my other post ( https://forums.stardock.com/419848 ) about one issue I found using it.
As the title suggests, these aren't major - but they do detract from the game. The "auto-go-to-unit" feature (to coin a term) doesn't seem to work very well. When it's time for unit x to move, and I am on unit y, the screen just sits there, with no unit (visibly) selected. I very frequently am unsure what unit I am supposedly working with. Related to that, I frequently have given unit x a multi-turn move order, then gone and worked wi
Three crash files. The second one happened when I tried to create an outpost. The third one happened when I was attacked by a Harridan's Army. I don't remember the first one. I played for a few hours, no problems. Then, two crashes in 3 minutes. http://www.mediafire.com/?rvq8nb9cdr36bis

I have a city that I built right next to a dungeon (with a hard quest). As a side note, I've never been able to play a game long enough to get to a research level where I can actually DO a hard quest. Anyway, I clicked "eject" on my sov from the city, and it sent me straight into the dungeon. Thankfully, I didn't have the tech, so I got a "You can't do that yet" message and was OK. I think that ejecting from a city should NOT place th
I can basically crash the game at will now. It's a bit frustrating - I have never been able to get very far into the game before it all goes to pieces. http://www.mediafire.com/?xkrxpne7custl8n I voted for greater stability in the poll... [e digicons]:)[/e]
Consistent crash. It seems like I hit a certain point in the game, and it simply can't continue. Like, the world becomes complex enough that the threads start to overwrite each other or something. http://www.mediafire.com/?54nhj2k7th9rn72
