I'd love the ability to declare portions of the map as "sector alpha" "sector beta" etc, such that I could tell ships "do not leave this area." Automated Orders are the primary focus of this intent, but it could lead to additional automated orders. Currently possibles: Survey Ships stay in their sector and do not go after anomalies in another ship's designated sector Scouts stay in their sector New possibilities:

Research squad-size related technologies and always make sure at least one guy in the stack survives so the group'll regenerate. Don't take on anything too big to handle. First strike is immensely important so move your men appropriately. Design your own troops to use the resources at hand. Armor is expensive, especially metal armor, unless you have a glut of the right resources. I smiled when a squad of my axemen took down a dragon. You can do

In a four-byte field, the minimum value a signed integer can have is -2147483648 and the maximum is 2147483647. I'm going to assume an incorrect amount of gildar was saved somehow and now the game's trying to deal with it. What you're seeing's going to be related to rollover for an integer. Adding one to 2147483647 makes it -2147483648. Maybe it happened to another faction and this faction traded with them and made out like a bandit. Did you hexedit a s

I sorta got the impression that all these Tools for Stardock's customers to build their own world was a sort of way around any lack of licensing to remake MoM. Just a thought :) Anyone already working on it? But, that's also short-sighted and I know it. We could do better than MoM, if that's possible. And maintain it as a gaming community. And expand it. And craft our own stories, adventures, creatures, artifacts, and events

umm... the cut out section says: "Here's the settings I've changed: Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration = Single display performance mode Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization = On Texture filtering - Quality = High performance " There's a whole number of settings and a description on each one. Take the time and fix it up as you need.

So, I posted this first in another thread but it's since locked. I have an older machine that I'm keeping running pretty effectively. Before the modifications below, the game would become unplayably slow within thirty minutes, but the patches and the process below have fixed those problems for me. If you're having performance issues and an Nvidia card, here's what I did: Within the Elemental game, go to your settings

If you're having performance issues and an ATI card, here's what I did (and sorry for the lack of detail - I'm going on memory of last week): Move everything video related to their lowest settings THEN, if it's still a problem: Open your Nvidia Graphics Control Panel Go to CUSTOM settings for specific applications (probably an intermediary tab in this step) Select your Elemental executable(s?) for the application in question

(On GalCiv 2: Dread Lords) First, there's confusion now on if economic starbases must be placed along a trade route with the trading post modules or at the originating planet. It's definitely necessary to place the stations along the trade route. Second, in a small map ("Chaos") and bordering military races, I've figured out you can give your enemies trading vessals. They then setup trade routes, which brings in even more money. I haven't yet figured out:</
