I don't like the idea of starting off supremely powerful and I do not like the idea of one enemy. Nor do I like it that there is no tech tree or design. Still, I would buy the founders programme as I love the series so much!

Why would you use Start8 now that windows 8.1 is out? It makes most of these programmes redundant. They were great for windows 7 and for windows 8 in its early form but now 8.1 is very nice to use and has taken most of the things programmes offer.
You no longer need Decor8 or most of the windows interface tweaks these programmes offer. Windows 8.1 did a pretty good job of fixing everything.
First off this game has serious potential, the game itself is basic shell though, what is needed is input from players but since release I can not seem to find any at all. Civ 5 was released and within a few months very decent mods have appeared (check here Civ5 - Creation & Customization - Civilization Fanatics' Forums ). I have tried the basic map making facility in Elemental and even that was quite bug
I must say compared to Civ 5 this games mods are very slow coming - I guess the tools are not up to the job yet. I have not seen one accessable mod yet.
We really need some info on GalCiv 3
This is a long dead mod I take it? How can it even be a mod for this game when the post was written in 2009?
