Thanks for all the replies. I've checked if a shortcut was placed in the start-up map (it was) and replaced it by a manually made one. @ BigDogBigFeet: I had already saved my dock, but thanks anyway for your advice.

Already done, on a brand new PC, with a new XP installation... Sorry, I meant 'Object dock' ...ahem

Every time I boot my PC, i have to start 'Stardock' manually. I have to restart the performance options too, because the programs 'forget' its settings. Weird !!. Has anyone a solution ? MV
