I'm sorry, I forgot to post the updates... So, it doesn't look like any WindowBlinds related issue, and it's not UXTheme patcher's fault either. The classic explorer look comes from Classic Shell which I was using to get the Windows 7 style start menu, but it can also provide a classic Explorer for the sake of the good old times. From time to time it would notify about updates

Just as I thought... it didn't work... I'll try repairing windows with the installation DVD... [e digicons]X|[/e]
Yes, I have recently patched the UXTheme files so it would allow me to use windows themes that are not certified by microsoft. However, I shouldn't have touched explorer at all... I have restored the backup with the original UXTheme files, but the problem persists. I'm installing Windows 8.1 in a VirtualBox now so I can get back the original explorer.exe file and try, but this doesn't sound like it will work...
I have a huge problem that appeared after installing the latest stable WindowBlinds version, 8.06 on Windows 8.1 pro x64. As soon as I applied a theme the Menubar showed up in Explorer, and the ribbon bar disappeared completely! Have a look at this screenshot: (in the screenshot above there is the Aero theme, not a WB skin) I tried to disable the menubar via the menu o
What skins are those? Does it do it with all Windowblinds skins, or just certain ones?
I don't want to be silly but I already told that:
The first one is the theme I am currently working on, the second and third themes are the "Corporate" and "Modern" themes included in WindowBlinds. I have noticed the issue in my theme since long time ago, but I thought I missed some parts. Unfortunately, it's
I am working on a skin and I have a pretty nasty issue with QtCreator and any applications using the Qt framework. They are showing a quite nasty gap in the middle of scrollbars. With the theme I am working on the gap is 35px large, with other themes it gets a bit smaller. Here are a few examples of the issue:
Hey guys i'm looking into finding the old Sabertooth skin that was coming with WindowBlinds 7 and previous versions. Unfortunately WindowBlinds 8 doesn't have it anymore (it only has a similar skin called Echo). How and where may I get it? If anyone does still have it, it would be nice if you could build the wba package and share it with me. Thanks to anyone :)
Sorry for my late reply too! Thank you very very much! That's just an absurd tweak since this code should enable the blur behind windows - which is what don't want - but still enabling it would not blur the background and would fix the issue. Thank you again for your help!
Oh OK. If you ever find out some pre-multiplied alpha ticks in the skins that's either because it was already like that in the Echo skin, or because of my different tests of settings around the skin when I got this issue. BTW, I already tried adding BackgroundEffect=0 to the top glass area part but it doesn't change anything. I suppose it might be a WindowBlinds bug after all... so I'll be waiting for your advice, let me know if there's anything I can do to help you
I guess it's a SkinStudio vs WindowBlinds issue. I have set my skin from WindowBlinds and it wouldn't change skin anymore on startup.
@ neone6 : guy ;) @roflmfaoo : I built the border images with 1px actual border and 2px shadow on the left and right borders because if I didn't do so Windows would not let windows resize horizontally anymore (the border
@ roflmfaoo : Actually... there is :D The original OS X border frames are 1px large and have such dark semi-transparent border. I want to make my skin exactly the same. Also, if I don't set any borders and use shadows only, I will be unable to resize the window horizontally by dragging the left and right borders. Even like this I'm still having issue sinc
I am working on an OS X -like skin that has very thin and transparent borders. The skin base is the Echo skin provided with WindowBlinds because it's the only one that allows having a semitransparent 1px border without breaking the resizing function of the windows (at least, not everywhere). Problem is, the left and right borders get a wrong transparency right near the Explorer top glass area (the glass area down of the titlebar) where part of the border will be more transp
Hello everyone! I purchased WindowBlinds 8 and I started working on a skin using SkinStudio. Until 3-4 days ago it was working all fine, but then on windows startup WindowBlinds would change my active sking to a different one. For instance, I was using the Echo skin before making my own, and on every windows startup WindowBlinds would change the skin to Echo instead of the skin I made. I will make some tests as soon as I can to test whether it's an issue of applying the sk
