There is a chance that if you have antivirus/antispyware/firewall software installed that it is interfering with the download and throwing up this error. Try adding Impulse.exe as an exclusion in these types of apps if you have them. If you are unable to do this or if it does not help, you may need to temporarily disable them and then try again. If you still cannot get anywhere, please send us your Impulse error

The archive will only work if the operating system on the new PC is the same as the old one. If that is the case, a download and archive operation would need to be done and that will only show up if the game is not already installed. You may be required re-download the game. If this is the case, you may be better off downloading the installer/archive files from Impulse Anywhere http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/Default.aspx

The "setsdaff" error typically indicates .NET problems. In XP, removing and re-installing .NET 2.0 usually does the trick. In Vista, sometimes updating to the latest .NET components takes care of it.

Unfortunately you cannot get any patch version earlier than the latest version. Going forward, what you can do is archive your installation so that you may roll back to a previous version if ever needed. To do this, click the Impulse orb in the upper left and then click 'Preferences'. Click the 'Archive & Install' listing on the left. You can toggle Impulse to automatically archive your install before downloading new updates. If you wish to do it manually, you can right click on t

Impulse is necessary to install and update Demigod. Since there are regular updates to Demigod, it would be wise to leave it hang around after you get the game installed.

Try uninstalling Impulse and then re-installing from the full installer found here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe

You can avoid this in the future by clicking the Impulse orb in the upper left corner and then clicking on 'Preferences'. Click the 'Archive & Install' listing on the left and then place a check in the box that says 'Archive applications before updating'. This will automatically create an archive of the current installed version before just going out and getting the patch and leaving you stuck.

Unfortunately these skins are not setup to be distributed via Impulse. To download them, go to https://www.stardock.com/support , enter your e-mail address to have your product info sent to you. This will contain download links for these items. Perhaps in a future version of Impulse this could change but for the time being this is the method that is available to use.

Also, assuming you would like to create an archive each time an update is released so you have something to roll back to, you can set this up via preferences as well. Click the orb, then preferences, then 'Archive & Install' on the left. Place a check in the box that says 'Archive applications before updating'. Assuming you have the hard drive space, you will be able to roll back in the future to any one that you made previously.

Your best bet would be to just run the game from your own shortcut because Impulse still shows 'Update' on the button even if the update is set to be ignored. To show hidden updates if you hide them, click the Impulse orb in the upper left and then click 'Preferences'. The second checkbox is 'Show hidden updates'.
