Was part of the beta, was unimpressed. Actual game mechanics aren't as tight as DOTA. Building up to higher tier items was a way better feature rather than in Demigod where you just buy the single item.
I always felt that DotA's item system was awful as sin. Funny how perspective works, isn't it? Different games, different mechanics. Same genera. Would you start a flame war on a TF2 forum stating how Halo is so much better?
I've never liked hat Cruci Map. T.T Daikaze, your solution posts another problem... There are many games I play on Cruic (legit games) where the players who are lose refuse to leave the game, and so they will Crystal Camp and ensure that they have a massive force of beasts from their portal to keep you at bay. The only way to stop them is to turn their own Portal against them. So the Portal Flag is an important part of the map

Impulse =/= Demigod I don't see what the issue is here. Impulse was never supposed to be finished alongside Demigod. They are two different projects with two different schedules. On a side note however, most of the things in this thread are planned to be incorporated in the next phase of Impulse which should come out in the next few months iirc.

Unless there is another Demigod on the second lane clearing out enemy creeps or your creeps are upgraded much higher than the opponent's creeps, it isn't very hard to one-shot a wave and run to the next lane before the creeps are killed. One some maps like The Brothers this is impossible, but on other maps (off the top of my head I would say Leviathan is easiest) there are neutral portals very close to the main creep lanes. Additionally, I'm fairly sure that XP is gran

The artifact flag is different. While there is no direct benafit to capturing it, it doesn't actually hurt you either. Creeps in the early game serve no real purpose other than to level up the other team. By increasing the amount of creeps on the field, you are increasing the rate by which the enemy Demigods can level up. I'm not necessarily saying you're wrong, but the example of the artifact flag doesn't take the negative factors into account.

When a Demigod match reaches its climax, with giants and catas dominating the lanes, a single portal can change the course of the game. However, that stage of the game is fairly short compared to everything working up to it. During most of the game, are neutral portals an asset or a liability? Is the advantage gained from creeps pouring from the portal greater than the advantage the enemy gains from an extra portal's worth of gold and experience? On one side y

The "formula" is just a series of medals players got during the game. You can view them under Awards. Basically, you get them for being the best (or tied for best) in one of the stats shown on the post-game report. Least deaths, most damage, most creeps killed, most gold collected, most kills, longest kill streak, etc... There are two reasons why the winners get more favor. 1. There are actually two medals relating to winning/losing. For winning
Like I said, if you know what to look for, its easy to counter. Always keep a teleport scroll on hand. If you see them bipass your money/cooldown flag you know where they're going, just start your teleport then. You'll be able to beat them to capping the flag, and with luck have a wave of your own units assist you in chasing them off/killing them. If they have 2 demigods... then you're going to need a team mate to help you.<
The cap lock only lasts for 30 seconds, of this I am positive, so either your cooldown times are incorrect, or you just nullified your argument. That being, you could not keep it chain locked because you have a 15 second downtime in between locks.
O rly? http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/8373/clipboard01uhh.png And either way,
Sedna is the way to go for a minion build. You have to focas all of your money on minion armor and gloves. Also use your favor points for general items. You can accually get a pretty powerful army on your side with minions doing about 75-115 damage. That added up is alot of damage when focas fired ( wich is a must use strat for any minion build). You also have to practice with the controls to get used to them and to learn when to just send in you
Then you've been playing against incompetent teams. Cap lock has a 30 second cooldown, telescroll has something similar. If you teleport out immediately as you caplock the flag (which you would need to do in order for your teleport scroll cooldown to be up again when the cap lock runs out) then the enemy player should easily be able to take back the area from the oncoming wave. Giving him control of this area allows one of 2 things.<br

I don't think the concept is OP, but the execution may be slightly too powerful. Frankly, it doesn't take very long to get through the towers, capture the flag, and lock it. This isn't really that much of a problem. The lock lasts just about long enough for a creep wave. Again, this isn't really a problem. The problem is that once the lock is worn off, you can lock it again. This may not sound like a problem, but considering you can tele scroll to the fal

I'm not sure if Regulus is actually OP or not. I'm of the opinion that we should give the game a month before any balance changes are made. The only thing I know for sure is that he is the most annoying Demigod by far. Not necessarily the most powerful, but definately the most annoying to fight against.
The history of video games proves otherwise. This game might not die, but it'll most likely never be very successful and will never have a large pool of players. The first week, event he first day, is the most important period of time in a game's life, particularly if it's an online game. Miss it, and the game will at best have mild success, and at worst will be deserted in a matter of weeks.
Iirc, there

I am not prepared to make a statement regarding the current balance of multiple Snipes, but the argument that it is too difficult to pull off is nonsense. In a random game with random people, then you probably won't be able to do it. However, in a half decently organized group or clan with VOIP, coordinating Snipes would be fairly easy. However, in all fairness, a balanced team with at least one support capable Demigod (Heal, Shield, Bramble Shield) and equal coordination

I finished a Beast tourney on Hard. It isn't impossible, but it is quite difficult. I can take the enemy one on one, but my teammates cause a number of problems. For one, they feed endless amounts of kills and experience to the enemy. Additionally, they somehow manage to operate with no level of cooperation or coordination, opposed to the enemy team who often operates in pairs or a group of three or four. Also, the Demigods with support abilities never seem to

You can always file your taxes early :P. Consider yourself lucky. My mom runs an accounting office, so she needs me to spend all day answering phones until 5:00 on the 15th. While she normally doesn't care what I do as long as I answer the phones properly, the office lacks a computer strong enough to play Demigod :(.

I want to throw it out there that the best players don't use cookie cutter builds. I don't claim to be a great player, but from reading things on the forums, you gather that the best of the best vary their builds from match to match depending on what happens. It isn't the "same damn formulaic purchasing game". People vary their builds depending on what happens. If you don't change things up according to what's going on, then its a problem with your gameplay style oppos
