well, i found an interesting workaround. it was a simple program that can even be used in conjunction with windowblinds! :D it's called style toolbar (google it). it has tons of features for customizing windows ui that's harder to change using themes, but the best one is a simple button you can click which replaces all dark text with lighter text. also, as a plus it takes up VERY little ram.

it's not using starskin, it's actually a visual style running natively in windows. i'm actually looking for like a registry or resource editor to customize the system font colors that aren't available in the regular system settings. also, where those settings are located?

i'm using a 3rd party visual style with windows xp (concave to be exact). i installed it a few days ago, and decided to make it my default theme. however, i've run into some gui annoyances. mainly black text over black background. i've been through every setting in the advanced apearance tab in the control panel, and i've downloaded about a million different registry editors and visual style editors, but i can't seem to find the setting for this one bit of text. example: if
