I agree with the above. I would love to see more tactic options added. planets and asteroids could have terrain features. for example Dense asteroid field: Dense asteroid fields limit the movements of large ships. only strike craft and frigates may opperate normaly in a dense asteroid field because they are able to easily maneuver around the space junk. cruisers and capital ships suffer some penalty such as being limited to the outskirts of the gravity well, m

I had not thought of that. I didnt have that problem before the upgrade. if i left a fleet in an enemy gravity well long enough they eradicated everything. but i played a game today and sent a fleet out without any capital ship. just a mob of cruisers and planet crackers. sure enough when I left them sitting in a gravity well they eradicated everything. I will have to look into the fleet cohesion issue since i usually spread it out to protect my fleet from aoe effects.

Kitkun. great advice. i didnt kow tht they group on the most powerfull not necessarily the most human. I also didnt know there was a 2 jump limit to raid missions. thats powerfull knowlage. Im sure every one has "how to play" advice. not to mention the few who simply want to put in their mindless "OMG i made a funny" response but the first response was the most usefull. I am just now advancing to hard computers and I thank you for the advice.

I have been playing 1.1 for a week or so and noticed some IA problems with my fleets. basicly. even though i set their attack range to "gravity well" which should cause them to attack any valid target in the gravity well. I have noticed that if they are far enough away from a target they will not attack it. after taking a planet for example i have often seen my ships clumped up on one side of the gravity well while several structures sit on the opposite side of the planet unmolested.<

more play more ideas convertable structures and different types of conquest I think there should be benefits and penalties to different modes of conquest. for example if I take over a world with culture the planet should not lose its planet upgrades. also If i take a world and it still has enemy structures I should be able to convert some of those structures and scuttle others without diverting a fleet to the world in order to clear the space. conversion costs

I noticed today that SINS has no in game help manual. I think that should be added with the very next patch. I want to be able to look up things like how shields work and the difference between beam weapons and missiles without searching the internet for it. even a mediocer help manual that tells you general information as found in the paper manual would be nice. although i personaly would like something that will tell you what all the capital ship special abilities are as well. there are shi

wont let me edit but one last thing i forgot to mention. Basic AI additions are a must. ships should know basic intercept vectors, it can even be something which is improved by technology upgrades but should be a standard of all ships. captial ships should have a common sence clause built in or the ability to establish Final Fantasy style AI programming.

i really like this game and have read some great comments. here are my additions. Like many others i would like to see something more like actual solar systems rather than 50 planet, asteroids and black holes around a star. it would be silly to suggest that scale and population could in any way match reality. but it would still be nice to have a situation where gravity wells are centered on stars and black holes and within each gravity well are several p

nice I did not know about this. i was wondering about it for a long time because I once build 10 of them thining that i coulddestroy all the structures in a planet with just kestras. needless to say it did nothing worth noting. of course i had no idea that it shut down structures for 3 mins. if thats the case i could destroy an enemy economy by auto fireing on key worlds every 3 mins. not a bad weapon.
