Quoting EamonKallen, reply 11 Sure, they'll keep making movies, but SG-1 has proved that once a franchise born in a tv series goes to movies, it loses a lot of it's quality. Erm, First Contact? anyone?
I thought that Continuum and the Ark of Truth were pretty good, mainly Continuum was awesome.

Works in our school. Computing this way becomes more and more viable as more and more bandwidth is created on the Internet. Quantum computers could also use this, since IIRC a quantum computer can run an infinite amount of threads.
Beta 1 had many issues..same can be expected from beta2. Unless beta2 includes actual rts gameplay (that makes sense to rts fans) as advertised, not many players will end up buying this at the end. dont set your hopes too high...
You're an official idiot. You do know that the entire Beta 1 was an engine test and they specifically did not include any of the type of generals that are supposed to offer R
Don't see much piracy on World of Warcraft. I agree you do not see much, but a lot of people aren't happy about 30 dollars a month, even though they pay it...heheh. You do see private servers around, but again they don't have the constant updates and the cool changes in the enviroment reflecting the seasons (IE christmas time and halloween).
Much is most definitely not none. I think that SG-1 had realistically reached it's end with the vanquishing of Anubis. However Atlantis still seems good to me... the original enemy, the Wraith, is still alive and kicking (and feeding). Plus, McKay and Keller seems like something finally happened to him that is nice, because he deserves it imo.
I'd second Earthsea and Discworld. Wheel of Time I'm not so keen on: it has some interesting ideas, but repeated and padded out too much. Make too many characters, give each of them one personality trait, one annoying quirk or habit, and one special power. Run through all possible combination in which they might interact to fill 13 books of sodding Naieve tugging her stupid braid. Not epic, relentlessly mundane.
Let's
Plus, I am curious as to how you enforce any law, at all, on the Internet. With cops and a judicial system, just like any other laws. You're giving the tech a bit too much credit. True, many areas where people want "enforcement" are technically challenging (and part of that "tech" is the legal context, including national and state boundaries). But even small cities like mine have local police whose beat is the nets. I don't eve

Virtually nobody knows what the hell my nickname stands for, and I don't disclose it, but it's one I came up with and now use extensively. Those people with names like Unconquerable (heh) you know are gonna be retards, although he was a fantastic player. Anyone who knows me both in person and online agrees that I am a much better person online. Anonymity doesn't always make people a fuckwad. Plus, I am curious as to how you enforce any law, at all, on the Internet. It is even used to

It's approximately (1 second +0.25)^sim speed. When you're at sim speed 0, that is exactly real time. When you have sim speed +1, it obviously doesn't run that fast, but could do. When you go below 0, the game slows down. When you talk about just -1 or so, it's not noticable, but -2/3 is slow and slower than that is generally considered unplayable.
At first I thought it could maybe work. But more and more I'm thinking.. it's not. I think 4 active abilities is GOOD. I think 4 to CHOOSE from is bad. There should be something where you have like say, 8-10 to pick from in the skill trees, but you can only choose 4 of them and after you pick the 4 you can't unpick them and can't pick any new active skills. They just go on your bar. <br

Bloody hell, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO 1A'S LOBBY. This one is a massive grey blob. The amount of wasted space is unbelievable. It's not good looking and it's harder to see Demigods and functionality as well.

See, the thing is that none of these things actually WORKS. If SecuROM actually stopped piracy dead in it's tracks, I could see the argument. But it doesn't. Spore is one of the most pirated games in history, and forget that 3-install limit. As a publisher, how do you justify spending money on DRM when it simply doesn't work?

You aren't supposed to gain value from it - the game maker is supposed to retain value of the product. The idea is that if it is harder for yo
I read the 2nd amendment, including the first line. I think it has been grossly misused in modern America. While I think its too late to ban all weapons, I would ban quite a lot and place a lot more restrictions on sales of the rest. Not a surprising view from a Tory (historically having been the party of monarchists), but it's kinda important to us given that having weapons is what allowed us to throw off the monarchy in the first pla

Run Demigod via Steam? WTF? Beta isn't even remotely related or connected to Steam in any way, shape, sense, or form. It's really not a shocker that a non-Steam game doesn't work with a Steam overlay. When you have an overlay that's designed for ALL games, like Xfire, then you can complain, and Xfire works just peachy.

I didn't buy Spore, and we all know why. I did ask for SoaSE for my birthday. No guarantees, I guess, but if I don't get it I'll probably buy it.
