Better they spend time developing the game, rather than rush it out for us. You don't want an undercooked cake. I seriously don't want a rush. Time spent developing isn't time wasted, we just get a better beta at the end. Their deadline is set by them, they can set whatever they want, and the only limit is profitability. News, they don't pander to us and the initial schedule had EXTREMELY TENTATIVE (i.e. NOT RELIABLE) written on it.

Amazon already sells their music DRM free in a new iTunes-esque store, IIRC, and it's cheaper. Apple had several court rulings against them because they charge just under one... of whatever your local currency is. $0.99 doesn't compare to £0.99 or 99 Eurocents. Amazon properly converts their prices, so I pay £0.99 per track from iTunes and £0.59 from Amazon, plus iTunes includes DRM so...

And not just any SSD mind you but Memowrite SSD's, they're pretty much the fastest you can get right now. And that would be just for the system drive. My Ideal setup 2 64GB Memowrite SSD in RAID config for system. 2 Western digital Velociraptors in RAID (300GB each) for games. 2 Western Digital 1TB Greenpower drives in RAID for storage.

Too large a time frame. There is no up and down sudden shebang, it's a gradual increase over many months. Thanks for your inputs. I have added a couple of extra things that I have forgotten.

Before I begin I should mention that I'm extremely irritated so please do not be offended. 1. A reason for editing is required. I have to make a specific effort not to be immensely negative and sarcastic about this, but suffice to say that it is incredibly annoying. It doesn't even filter any answers, so you can just shove "a" or "fuck you" in there as a reason. A waste of time and slow and irritating. 2. Why is there no link to this forum? I had to come on Impulse and specifi

Symptoms: Freezing. This is first one app, then the next, then the next till the whole system is down. Poor transfer speeds. This includes Ethernet (6mbs over gigabit connection) and USB (3mbs on a USB2 port and stick, 26MBs on another machine) Poor overclockability (by this I mean a G0 quad core couldn't break 2.7GHz on an entirely custom cooling setup) Assorted hangs and crashes during boot up, and assorted failures in Windows. If they were, they would take demand away from the real game. So the big question is - where is the best place to draw the line between a demo and a full game? I would say people at that point should find an online gaming reveiw site or gaming magazine that has rev

If you got the minimum requirements, you'd be torturing yourself to play the game. Yeah, and tehy said in Beta 1 that they specifically did not include ANY of the RTS gameplay to work on it moar. It is not unreasonable for advertised content to not be in a beta when the beta specifically does not include all of the content.

[quote who="lprometheus" reply="16" id="1954578"] Let's definitely bear in mind that these arenas ARE artificial. That is, the gods have placed these arenas specifically so that the Demigods can vie for the favor of the gods to ascend. It's not like Supreme Commander or even Warcraft where there's this chunk of territory you're trying to conquer. The flags play right into the God's arena the all father placed items in the arena and only a ascend DG will have the sk

Damage and element types are fail, it's just rock/paper/scissors, anyone can come up with that and it's not fun or unique, especially in Demigod where you cannot choose your rock, paper or scissors. By the time I have chosen Rook with blunt, my opponent has UB which takes 50% less. Fuck. My suggestion is still abilities similar to the Tower of Light, because those already buff each other when in range. Use ability X, you lose health but buff ability Y, proportional to h

Some CGI effects looked better in IV than later. Especially the way the lightsabers flickered.. I remember watching IV recently and realizing that Obi-Wan's blade changed it's dimensions repeatedly and it looked much better than just this solid object that's basically a regular sword.

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="11" id="1953214"]See, personally if a team is all playing as the same Demigod then I think it's a "good thing"(TM) if an item whacks them good. Demigod is, after all, a TEAM game and picking out Demigods that work well as part of a team should be part of the overall strategy. So for instance, if everyone is playing as the Vampire lord, I would make use of the Ring of the Crucifix which gives the player some passive bonus no matter what but also has

I have to say, no, no and more no. The main reason is that it prevents teams of all one Demigod. While you may say this is a good thing, I don't want to be forced to pick another Demigod because otherwise a team of anti-TB rings could demolish my team of TBs, just because we all happen to like to play the TB. The other reason is that it's an artificial rock-paper-scissors element which I feel is not justified and should absolutely be avoided. On the plus side, if the TB is OP, then your team

[quote who="Sole Soul" reply="15" id="1952832"] Quoting Craig Fraser, reply 12That what DEMOS are for. Why would anyone buy a game if they already played the full version? Online content, multiplayer, etc. Most cracks won't grant you access to that, and for most games that have it, multiplayer is the main point of the game. There's also the issue of most demos being too damned short-five minutes is not enough time to determine if I should buy game X or no
