Thanks for the wasted time and money. What are you? Fanboy of the year?
What are you? Disgruntled customer of the year?

Damned if they do damned if they dont. Watch, next they remove bots and everyone bitches that it takes too long to get a pantheon/skirmish game going. Poor stardock... I feel like they cant win. Yeah it sucks that there are mostly bots in the matchs but did anyone think its because it cant match people up hence the network issues lately and then it decides to start the game for fear of taking too long? No didnt think so.

That was the biggest thing I hated about dota was people that would freak out and start ranting about either the player sucking or just dumb stuff like host you suck. My favorite is when you create a noob game and those same people tell you you suck and your like "omg its a noob game, cant you read?" I dont think the demigod community will ever get that bad. I have been playing dota for nearly 5 years and pretty much stopped playing online with people I do not know (

It is optional so I dont think it will ruin the game. Sure it sucks when you first start but it gives something for people to shoot for if they like that sort of thing. Boots of speed give 10% increase and they are pretty cheap.

Ah now that you mention it the game has cheats built in but you should be able to check the game options from the lobby to see if the host has them turned on or off. Found this link here mentioning it: https://forums.stardock.com/347830 If they are using some outside cheating not sure how that works and if so that kinds does suck because I wouldnt want to play online if alot of people do that.

@Lucifon - Have you tried going to Edit->Options in game ranger and then scrolling down to demigod and check the path? I think it autodetects which games you have installed and bolds them. Is it bold in the list for you? If not you should still be able to browse to the demigod.exe so it boots up.
The amount of utter bullshit that's involved to get this fucking game working is getting seriously beyond a joke. It's 11pm now and I have managed to get exactly one quarter of a game tonight since I started looking for a game around 8pm. From non-stop yellow ping shit to the game room never filling up due to even more yellow ping shit to this that and everything else, it's just a disgrace. They better get this proxy solution up asap as despite how

http://www.gameranger.com/ For all you people who dont know what game ranger is: Game ranger is a simple program that allows people to create a custom game of demigod and not have to go through the pains of wondering if everyone can connect to everyone. I have spent the past week just to play 2 custom games and 1 skirmish while wanting to pull my hair out. After trying this I was in a 5v5 with in 5 minutes. Heck

Listen to kstampy and get game ranger: http://www.gameranger.com/ takes like a few minutes to install and works like a charm. They are working on patching up the multiplayer so it will work as well as game ranger. You have nothing to lose but a few minutes setup. Simple as that.

Yeah what I dont understand about the current system is why it takes minutes just to connect even if you do connect fine to everyone? Why does it take so long even when it works? Most of the time there is some stupid crap, I spent like 2 hours just to play one 15 min game before giving up. I tried this today on game ranger and we had a 5v5 up in < 1 min and everyone was ready to go. Heck the longest part about the whole thing was having 10 people decide which map an

I just tried it out and it was awesome. Took like 2 mintues to install. Found that all the legit users post the .93 version in the title so its easy to find a game and get going. My first game was a 5v5 but one person had lag spikes and once he left it was smooth sailing. After playing that match THIS is how the online should be. I hope that stardock and gpg can get their online working this smoothly because this weekend I wanted to smash my head in from not bein

In game there is a friends list that keeps a log of what you typed to your friends and seems to work fairly well. The chat room overlay looks to use an irc style interface if you need to talk to multiple before setting up a custom game. All in all its not bad. Once you get a game setup you can chat in there as well. You can setup a custom game with however many people up to 10. Like if you want yourself and 4 friends vs 5 random people.

I had a similar instance before even picking light or dark when going to the pantheon. I was only able to see or select any of the demigods that I have never played yet. So after picking light side I could only choose rook because I played with the other demigods before but not him. What was interesting is I alt-tabbed out and when I went back into the game they were all selectable again. Weird bug, its like it greys out the ones you have already played as only allowin
