I agree with the OP this item is insane. So much so that pretty much every demigod should get it. It also combos incredibly well with the slayers gaunlets, resulting in 1k+ damage hits. The AoE damage bonus should probably be toned down to +50 damage. I know that seems like a massive nerf, but an AoE damage boost is pretty darn good. You can have it up nearly 1/4 the time. +300 is just obscene. Literally every demigod should carry this if they can

Its quite simply a terrible review. The score is fair, but the review makes it sound like a 8 or a 9. They completely glaze over the magnitude of the connectivity issues and make it sound somewhat minor, say they are sad there isn't more single player, and then go on to talk about all the positives. The score doesn't match the review. Yes, Demigod deserves a 6.5. Yes, they can and should review the game with the kids gloves off. If Stardock is accepting m

Do you have a right to be pissed when a product you paid money for doesn't live up to expectations, sure. If a product is good enough for them to take your money it should be finished. Thing is, Stardock has been brutally honest about the fact that the networking is screwed up to an unacceptable level and are fixing it. Give the game a week before you consider it dead in the water. I've been telling people who ask that the game doesn't work, but they seem to be mak

I would like to point out that if you "had to play the game as soon as possible", you could have pre-ordered months ago and been playing the beta. Gamestop broke the street date, they just don't care, they do it on a regular basis. This is doubly true for PC games. I can't believe that someone hasn't sued them for it already.

Those things are not that important to alot of people who actually play games - they're nice to have, but thats it. Minus points on the score are the only thing you can do. You can't even punish them to hard, else you'll hit those poor guys who have bad internet connection or just a random badluck disconnect.
You vastly und

Easiest solution would be to kill the staff of renewal. Something that lets you manipulate cooldowns is extremely dangerous.

Specially if you were in a Blizzard tournament. Some times you would play against a turtler, someone that knows he is going to lose but delays it as much as he can and you would lose precious time, time that you needed to complete more games to be elegible to the next tournament pha

This is something that needs added before release. Camera changing isn't vital most of the time. Using skills, selecting minions, are using items are vital. They would fit well in qwer, asdf, zxcv.
You need to play more with Oak. That is one badass dude. But yea, Generals have problems. My main one with them is economic, they have far too much to spend gold on compared to Assassins.
They need to seperate minions and cash somehow. Generals need to purchase items and minions. The minions aren't worth the gold you sacrifice to get them most of the time.

What about the introduction of some anti-stun items to help fight stun? Examples: Armor +x armor, +Y armor while stunned (fairly large number) Consumable: Remove all negative effects from target ally, target ally is immune to stun, snare, ect. for X seconds Trinket: +X health, healed for Y health every time you are stunned Artifact: Instant activation (can be used while stunned), breaks stun, if you were stunned a PBAoE pulse puts all enemy demigod skil

If you don't meet the minimum reqs, I wouldn't buy it. On top of this, DoW II is a game you shouldn't buy regardless. They have left a game breaking multiplayer bug in the game for two weeks now and stonewalled the community for much of that time. Units a permanently eating up pop-cap in every single multiplayer game. Save your money for a better PC or a game from a company that properly supports their game.

I'm going to have to call BS. The skill ceiling is close to being reached? That is just plain absurd. You then go on to suggest making it harder to grind for items, which does nothing for depth. You may feel that CC spam is the strongest option, but this game has hardly seen true cut-throat play. Its a limited beta, you are going to have limited competition. Pick out what you think could be better. Just "more items" doesn't really add depth. I

Suicide should be a code fix, the self damage keeps mist form balanced. Instead of avoiding all damage you decide to take X damage instead of potentially greater damage.

23 Replies 9,077 Views

Mist probably needs another rework. The self damage is too low at level 1 making it an incredible defensive skill. The skills in this game follow the pattern that as you level cost goes up, but damage also goes up. Mist is a problem because whatever damage is done to the enemies is also done to Erebus. This makes increasing the damage a disadvantage and you want the damage just high enough. I think the base self-damage needs to be higher to start with and never

One option could be altering the sell price for minions to be 100% of the cost. That way a general can invest in minions early without losing money in the long run. Combine this with giving generals a little extra starting cash and you should kick-start their minion action pretty well. Another idea would be to just create a new resource for generals and take minions off the gold system. "Clout" based on level. Each minion takes up part of your clout and your ma

Coven does not seem to be functioning properly, I see the coven minions pop up 5 times a game at most (usually coinciding with a demigod kill performed by Erebus.) They are most certainly not appearing the 50%-80% of the time described.

This game is very much still in a beta. It isn't like those "betas" where the game is 99% done and the beta is purely for publicity or stress testing. You have to understand this game is in an unfinished state (because, well it is unfinished.) If you buy it and go into the beta expecting a polished game you will be quite disapointed. However, the game itself looks like it will be a quality product when it is released. As for Demigod vs DotA, if you start pickin

The demigod beta is a lot rougher than many other betas. That is because many other betas only start bringing in players for stress testing or using it to generate hype. Yes, demigod is rough. However, that means your imput can influence more about the game since everything isn't set in stone. They have actually communicated things quite well and taken feedback as opposed to most companies that ignore it.

Getting a solid online game going is difficult at the moment, so what most people do is they either schedule one with friends and try it, or just play vs AI in internet mode.
