I had similar issues... no game crash, but demigod would crap out my internet connection at times during play. I found that if I restarted windows, I'd be able to get back on the internet. That said, I port forwarded correctly, but never configured impulse reactor. Well, I got around to doing that as well and I haven't had the internet drop ever since... not to say the issue is resolved, but its been a good week without it occuring (before it was occurring every 1-2 day

yup... jokey jokester.
hmm... I'll try having my buddy reinstall as well and will post if any luck... I doubt it, but hey... if it work for you guys...
I think that would be a great option to have when hosting customs, but I don't have a general problem with duplicate heroes on the same team... I actually had a blast in a 3v3 regulus match.
I've see huge improvements in connectivity in pantheon since the last update (I've never had issues with custom games), but still have a friend who can't even join a custom game, so I totally understand the frustration. Hope the remaining issues are resolved!
OP - I disagree. Most games I play have a war rank of normal and that seems pretty well balanced to me. Thanks for your opinion, though.
If all players time out at the same time, in my experience, that means that I have dropped from the game. I mean, if you think about it, what would you expect to see if you dropped from a game? I've had this happen multiple times to me before (with the added bonus of not being able to connect to the internet again until I restart my pc).
dito. Same exact thing for my friend...
/true but still
Hey - I've played with alot of people... some people clearly appear to have been rage quiiters (eg I just got killed a bunch so I quit, or I don't think we can win, or I think my teammate is a newb, et). Anyway, I've been one of the people fortunate enough be be able to connect to games successfully, but have been impacted by the special connectivity issue where I get kicked off the internet only when playing demigod and have to restart my pc (note: not a router or cable modem iss
The coupon is a one time one use. I don't believe it stacks in one transaction. You can buy 10 copies all in the same transaction though. You probably know, but everyone on your lan does not need to have a purchased copy to play legally. Everyone would need to have a purchased copy to play over the internet, though.
Thanks for the FYI
I got it. Thanks for the notice!
new update is live! Demigod - May 18th update -------------------------------- Added proxy server fallback (after direct connection and nat negotiation) Demigod - May 18th update -------------------------------- Skirmish and Pantheon join game tweaks.
Banned because you got turned into a newt
Noted - fyi... Windows reboot seems to resolve this... any techies have an explanation why? And dito for me, I am unable to connect to my router 192.168.1.1 until I reboot.
They need to realize 8 heroes is not enough. In fact, I don't know why they never bothered to distinguish between light and dark based on units and design (changing color is so pre-2000). There are a lot of things they could have done that didn't. That being said, they didn't really have the best network upon release either. The real question is, why do people never get on schedule. Let's put this one image in and "
tassox... I've gone back and forth between several other games, but my interest is still kept. It's pretty easy to get discouraged after a release like this and constantly wondering when a more fully functional version will be available. I'm still into the game and think I would be if things had launched more smoothly as well. I've had epic feeling games... just where my team is so evenly matched and it could go either way... granted, that's happened like 2 times out of
you are going to bump into jerks here and there. Sorry you had a bad experience, my friend.
No real interest here, but if its a real issue for some, then cool. Thanks for checking it out and taking some action!
flame flame flame flame flame... to all the ignor... MEH... STFU and play the game
I really like the way that an AI takes over for people when they quit/concede whatnot. The nice thing is that this prevents the rage quitters from entirely ruining the experience for the rest of the team. If you entirely remove their DG from the game when the quit/concede, then the match is as good as over. This of course makes a better AI a high priority.
I agree that better AI SHOULD be a high prio
Ok. So since that 2nd to last update, I've had actually have demigod knock me off of the internet. I'd be playing a multiplayer game and then suddenly drop (all humans but me replaced by ai). After whining for a moment, I'd finish my game. At end game screen, I'd lag out (couldn't do anything to exit) for about 45 seconds, then I'd be able to exit. Well, today I noticed things in a different order... and let me add that most games, I don't have any issues connect
I'd really like to see: 3. A 'crash hard drive button' which is useable on rage quitters (ok not really..mostly)
Gotta be a way to develop the code that manages to knock me off the internet every now and then in Demigod games with proper port forwarding... meh...
