I don't know whether they have updated the descriptions, but if you hover over the 'build fighter/bomber squadron', you will see what they are effective against. In essence - Fighters: Fighter/bombers, scouts, siege frigates and LRMs (and their vasari and advent equivalents, I guess). They really rip them apart, it's frightening. Bombers: Everything else :P

How hard would it be to implement a file sharing system in game? A lot of RTS games do this (examples: Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Command and Conquers (generals, afaik), and at least a load of other non-rts games). Why should SOASE be an exception?
I agree with the OP. Although, not entirely, the AI is more annoying than challenging. Here I was, with a friend, massing up a big fleet. Our scouts revealed that they had two gigantic fleets massed up and ready to jump (only, they somehow didn't). They must have had 50 carrier cruisers, 8 capital ships and a billion frigates (each). Even though we knew that we were considerably outnumbered, we decided to 'go for it' and say 'here goes nothing'. Hoping we could at least severe
