Absolutely! [e classic]:congrat:[/e] I'm pretty much an "Anything-Quest" lover. Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest etc. they were all kick-ass games. Sigh......we need games like that again.
Most people in IT do in fact look down their noses at end-users (sometimes this is hard NOT to do). It's the classic "god-complex" that other professions (ie Doctors etc.) struggle with as well. Struggle with? Come to me, Monk... jk. You really shouldn't believe what you see on TV. Or should you? I work in network infrastructure/security design and there I actually DO perform miracles (of an IT nature..hehe) by setting up/connecting networks (physical and virtual) in ways that make some people's head spin! DK...dude come on....you don't realize it but you're proving my point....sigh Looking at this latest batch of photos you certainly aren't the type to ever be concerned with "desk space" except maybe from the perspective of where you can plop down another electric gizmo. Seriously, look at these latest pictures yourself objectively (if you can) and you'll see what I'm talking about. Any available SURFACE in your home seems to have some kind o
At the risk of offending the OP (here's hoping he doesn't take offence and simply takes my comments for what they are...."comments") I'm beginning to think (after reading the replies he's received and his counters to said replies) that he wasn't entirely truthful in the premise/purpose of this thread. Seems to me a little like one of those "hey will my PC run X game at X settings?!?" threads when the real purpose of some of those threads is to show up someone eles's syste

The only pattern I've ever been able to discern with regard to SINS desyncing is I've noticed it seems to happen less if the machines (hardware and connections) are as similar as possible. Sorry I can't be of more substantial help...
The first step is.....I'll need a tad more info to be able to help you further (my apologies for not noticing this thread sooner I've been rather busy and I do help out in several gaming communities....) 1. Give me (to the best of your knowledge) yours and your friends "network map" for example: internet >> cable/dsl modem >> router >> switch >> PC etc. also include the make/m
@ ChuckCS You should have been done with the COD series after the introduction of perks and killstreaks in COD4 (that's the last COD game I will ever have played). Rewarding people for camping and thinking only of their own KDR is a the best way to kill teamplay. Plus the stupid weapon perks that allow for (no....encourage even) frankenstein weapon configs etc. is just lame. I chose Battlefield Bad Company 2 and couldn't be happier at having spent my

fine....poor choice of words......I'll change it to EXPECT then! Since I do have have such an expectation. By the way narby, way to show exactly what you're focused on when reading my posts. Nothing in response but to pick apart my post and completely ignore my point. Makes me wonder why I even bother coming here anymore...............pointless really. Germany has 100 million people (give or take) so its not farfetched to expect (*c
First, I'm assuming we're talking about SINS here? Second, if you truly are on LAN (that means both connected to the same network swtich or the LAN-side of the same ROUTER) then the only thing causing you issues could/would be some security software or firewalls improperly configured. If you're pressing the LAN button in-game hoping to connect to one another via the internet then you'll need to forward ports. For help with that either go to <a href="http:/

There's a great new show called Food Revolution that outlines how lazy our habits are when it comes to eating. When Europeans talk about universal healthcare, they are making cultural assumptions that don't apply here. Europe doesn't have universal healthcare. Individual countries in Europe have it. This is a very big difference

Perfection being impossible, it comes down to which 'set of sins' is less onerous in the long run and which offers the greatest opportunity. Whether the individual has primacy or the state. I prefer a system that empowers the individual and constrains the state, which is what the DOI & Constitution intended. If you prefer the state make all your dec

You may not be depriving them of a phsyical item that could be sold to someone else, but at the end of the day you're still taking advantage of their work while refusing to compensate them, and doing so purely for your own pleasure. You can spout platitudes about open source all you like, but that will never justify taking the fruits of someone else's labor against their w

And indeed health care is one issue where the "furiners" that have commented do not appear to have a clue on how America wor

njareg, I believe I posted before the forums went "boom" a week ago....so I'll try to recreate (at least the basic message of) my lost post... You keep stating that SD should give you stand-alone patches "the way every other company" is doing it. I beg to disagree, in fact I believe that if you care to look closely you can't help but notice that the writing has been on the proverbial wall for stand-alone patches for quite some time now.
