@ lulapilgrim Don't the gun nuts in the US say something along the lines of "guns don't kill people........people kill people"? Well then by the same token wouldn't it be "video games (even the violent ones) don't kill people.........people kill people". You can't have it both ways. Also don't get me started on what you called just war. There is no such thing. If you truly bel
I don't think we're supposed to be discussing 'religion' on these forums, but while this thread remains open I guess I can throw my cents into the mix. While I am a man of 'faith' I haven't been referring to myself as a christian for some time now. The following are some reasons why: 1. I cannot on any level agree with the sentiment being expressed by the christians of the w

Actually, developers should care, seeing as if I don't have enough money for their merchandise, I don't buy it.
It's not about getting two for the price of one. It's just that with all other installments of Sins we've been able to do this, which helps a lot when, I'll be honest, I don't have a lot of money. Thus, I would hate for a feature of a game, no matter what it is, to be disabled by an expansion to that game; since expansions are meant to expand, not detract.
It is exactly abo
Posted by a EUGEN dev today........
Hi all, Despite what you may think, we're not spending our time still celebrating the release. Here is a preview of what we’re presently working on at Eugen to improve Wargame in a near future, based on the requests and suggestions we’ve had from the community on this forum: - Comp Stomp : It’s being tested as I speak (well, write). It takes more
Since the underlying game structure still seems to be the same as regular SINS I would guess that as long as each computer had STEAM in OFFLINE mode it would be possible to host and connect to a LAN game just the way one always could. Of course this would also mean that you would lose all STEAMWORKS benefits whatever those turn out to be (ie. achievements, stat-tracking etc etc.) while STEAM is in OFFLINE mode. Besides, I simply don't understand why ever
There are plenty of biometrics already in use today (to varied corporate levels) some with greater success than others, but I've never heard of someone getting their finger chopped off. ;P It's not like I'm suggesting new technology or even new use of existing tech. I'm simply suggesting expanding what is now being used (pioneered) by the corporations to the population at large that's all. Someday it will happen, i
Hooooorah!........or wait.......is it.......America......fuck yeah!?! [e digicons]O:)[/e] The problem is, that same 'authority' you like to talk into a submissive position is the very reason you even get to enjoy the 'liberties' you do and since 'goverment' is actually the collective voice of the 'peoples' you keep referencing I don't see how 'revolt' could ever be seen as positive. </p

I have no problem with a 'global' DNA registry. Of course it's not like I have something to hide.... Hell, I think the world and its technology is just about mature enough to print and DNA-sample each and every human at birth. In fact, I welcome such a future. :P
Whether intentionally or not, you are missing my point...... DNA 'testing' exists as a method used in proving one's guilt/innocence in the physical realm. While I am discussing the potential application of DNA 'testing' (comparision) in the digital realm I am not suggesting it be used any differently than it is today. Why are you? I'm not suggesting using DNA as a better 'digital-lock'. I am suggesting using

I don't think you're 'getting' what I'm saying though. I was pointing out that it is neither here nor there
So just because 'some people' get away with murder etc. we should scrap the idea of convicting using DNA? Have either of you 'lost your freedoms' because there are labs processing DNA samples? Whether you like to admit it or not, the advent of using DNA in convicting someone of wrongdoing changed the criminal landscape. Sure many still get away, but how many more would never have been caught without it.<

Sure, but that can go both ways. For instance back when Far Cry 2 was popular I played (I won't tell you exactly how many hours ;P) many hours of Far Cry 2 but because it didn't actually need STEAMWORKS to be logged in my stats weren't being tracked at all. So I guess the argument could be made that those stats may even be low. ;) EDIT: Also, I was specifically pointing out the individual game usage data.
