I think what Aerisot is asking is if an upgrade from a currently purchased deskscapes 2 will be free to upgrade to deskscapes 3 when it goes to release. I'm also wondering about this.
TCAlienWorks
Thanks, that did the trick!
I can't even get it to install. I click deskscapes in Impulse and it shows "Deskscapes v2.50 Updated: 8/20/2009" and when I hit install it says "This program is not compatible with your current operating system". I have a legit install of Win 7 64-bit RTM.
I have vista x64 ultimate running latest full version of deskscapes and fences and when a dream is playing the fences are still "there" however they're invisible. I can still move them and stuff and the icons work fine. Seems like the layering is off or something.
How does one get v2.0 but not 2.5? I only can get 2.5 on impulse unless there is some previous-version feature I'm not aware of
This doesn't work for me on win 7 64, nothing has changed after the 64 bit install and restart
I'll put animations of mine on youtube if it'll get me a vote ;)
Awesome, can we see results in real-time? Good luck everyone!
flyersfan, the water one was mine and I didn't realize by editing the description it'd go back to pending for 2 days. I guess you don't want to have to edit them later.
You may have flash 10 in firefox and 9 in IE, I believe they are independantly installed... I could be wrong though
Perhaps it's just waiting to be approved? I edited my description last night and it's been in queue for approval all day, maybe they're not doing it today or something.
Oh, I guess I was confused, you can't make a team and be on another? ha ha *Noob at these things* How do I delete the one I made?
If you make dreamscenes, please let me know and I can invite you onto the team!
oh, it sounds like it's because I got flash player 10 which another post says doesn't work with the uploader yet. Is there some way to downgrade to 9?
Seems to work fine on my laptop, I guess it's just my main system being dumb.
I'm trying to upload a dream entry, and the upload button does nothing. It never even takes me somewhere to select a file. I've tried it in IE7, firefox, and chrome beta. None work. Is this something that needs to be fixed or am I just blind to some obvious error I'm making?
I can join dream teams, I have lots of animation experience. All my work is over at vistadreams.org, but I have years of animation experience, particularly in the nature area.
Hi, I don't have much stuff on this site because I'm the developer at vistadreams.org, but if anyone wants a dream maker, I've got tons of experience, particularly in nature animations and filming as that is my best area. Send me emails if interested!
Screen savers are no longer necesary, LCD's fundamentally don't have the issue, and new CRT's have improved so much that it'd only be a problem if you NEVER used your computer. They're only really needed on older crt's, so old that almost nobody uses them anymore. The only thing is plasma tv's, which I've heard get bad burn-in and should always have a fully active screen-saver. But overall, they've become more of a "cool thing" than a functional tool.
oh that won't be a problem, I'm an employee at vistadreams.org and we're just upgrading our gallery system so I have legal rights to all of them. Thanks for the thoughts though
Thank you! It is there.
I'm making a collection of flash previews for a set of dream files (I don't have the original mpeg files). I know in v1 you could find some directory with the mpeg's in it after you run the dream, but I'm not finding that anywhere in deskscapes 2. Can someone please tell me where it is? There is nothing illegal about extracting the mpeg if anyone's worried about that, once you have the dream it's just a different form of the file.
Adobe premiere will take mov in, then you can export as AVI, MPEG, or WMV
It is not currently possible to have a double-wide dream that stretches across the two, however if you have the two monitors on a single double-header graphics card you can display the same dream on both of the screens at the same time.
If I'm not mistaken that's the onboard integrated graphics on the motherboard right? It's stuttering because it can't handle the dreams. Consider upgrading to a mid-range card (8600, 9600 etc) assuming your board has a PCI/e slot. Regarding the memory, that is perfectly normal. Dreamscene takes around 100-150MB of ram to operate and it puts it onto the explorer.exe
