Sorry Philly. I thiought you were being a wise... Anyway, I'm not expecting support for Win 7 yet, just wondering if anyone has attempted to install Stardock products, Deskscapes in particular, in Win 7. There is a pre-beta (6801) which has been "leaked" and is freely available. It is very stable and I'm using it fulltime on my HTPC. I do miss the moving desktop. Thanks.
Thanks for that helpful response. Unbelievable...
As it seems that most Vista apps will run in Windows 7, and there is now a Dreamscene patch out for 7, I was wondering if anyone has tried Deskscapes in Win 7?
For anyone with a similar problem, I found that the issue was created by setting my system font DPI to 120. When I returned it to normal, 96 DPI I believe, the navigation buttons in explorer were skinned. Thanks again for your responses.
Thanks guys. I appreciate your help. vStyler, I previously used the same skins and they worked fine, so I'm certain that the buttons were skinned by the authors. Thanks again.
Your are correct in your assumption, and thank you for your prompt response. I have only tried skins that are noted to be both Vista and WB 6 compliant, including this one among others: http://gvsb.deviantart.com/art/iMetal-Graphite-for-Vista-77263653 I have noticed that the SD released Vista skins appear to use the standard Vista buttons, so I didn't include those skins when trying this out. As I indicated, Up until very recently, this feature did work for me, so I'm wonderin
For some reason, WB is not skinning the round navigation buttons used by windows explorer in my Vista Home Premium (32 bit). I had initiallly gotten this feature to work by launching WB as administrator, but since installing the last 2 betas from SD Central, no matter what I do, the horrible Vista default buttons remain. Everything else is perfectly skinned though, including the seach and location boxes. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.
I have a suggestion: we all know that OD subscribers have had access to the beta for over a month now (and yes, your November announcement stated the final public release of DS 2 would be in Feb 2008. I believe it still says that). Anyway, I like many others have purchased far more than $49.00 worth of SD products over the years. I receive betas on SD Central, so why not release the Deskscapes beta to those with SD Central. That should keep everyone happy until the public release. Just a thought
