Vista and WB 6.2 (latest beta) problem

Explorer navigation buttons do not change

For some reason, WB is not skinning the round navigation buttons used by windows explorer in my Vista Home Premium (32 bit). I had initiallly gotten this feature to work by launching WB as administrator, but since installing the last 2 betas from SD Central, no matter what I do, the horrible Vista default buttons remain. Everything else is perfectly skinned though, including the seach and location boxes. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.

There is no WB 6.2, so I shall assume you are using 6.1.

Are you sure the skins you are using have those sections?

Which skins are you having problems with?

Your are correct in your assumption, and thank you for your prompt response. I have only tried skins that are noted to be both Vista and WB 6 compliant, including this one among others:

I have noticed that the SD released Vista skins appear to use the standard Vista buttons, so I didn't include those skins when trying this out. As I indicated, Up until very recently, this feature did work for me, so I'm wondering if it's an SP-1 issue relating to permissions, etc.

Thanks again.

i was having the same issue a couple months ago on vista ultimate 64. after i formatted my rig and reinstalled everything, those buttons are being skinned with no exceptions. i'm not saying you need to format and start over but it worked for me, although that isn't the reason i formatted. it was a rather nice unexpected side-effect, tho. :)

When using large toolbar Icons in IE7 the back forward buttons do not skin in WB.. If you make the Toolbar icons small size, the buttons are skinned.

This only applies to skins that the author has actually skinned this section. (Keep in mind, just because as skin says vista ready , doesn't mean the author has skinned every section)..many havent.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your help. vStyler, I previously used the same skins and they worked fine, so I'm certain that the buttons were skinned by the authors. Thanks again.

For anyone with a similar problem, I found that the issue was created by setting my system font DPI to 120. When I returned it to normal, 96 DPI I believe, the navigation buttons in explorer were skinned. Thanks again for your responses.
