Sometimes I will see multiplicity disconnections from secondary notices but sometimes not
mheffler
It happens somewhat randomly. Sometimes restarting both primary and secondary multiplicity processes resolves it for a while.
Title should be "without numerous slams" not "with"
About a month ago, there appeared to be an update of either Windows 11 or Multiplicity that prevents the mouse from reaching the secondary monitor without multiple slams against the edge of the primary. It is very frustrating and unergonomic and wastes times. Once I get to the secondary successfully, the mouse works like a charm until I go back to the primary. Checking for updates shows I am up-to-date. Is there anything I can try?
Problem did not recur on reboot so I guess it was a temporary first boot issue
I read a solution for a similar issue and they restarted Multiplicity services on primary. That worked for me. Why did they not start successfully on computer restart?
I took my primary laptop out of town for a week and now on return, Multiplicity is not controlling the secondary display even though the test to the second shows "Multiplicity was able to successfully connect to this computer." I totally stopped Comodo and Malwarebytes on both laptops and the problem remains. They are on the same switch and the NICs are both set as private. What else can I try?
I have not had this probalem in many months. I think an update resolved it
I have no other monitor management software. I will try a clean boot later
It is recurs on reboot until I open and close the lid. Then I am good until next reboot
The issue is gone at the moment but returns often enough and I know no trigger Two laptops side by side running Windows 11 Pro 21H2 OS build 22000.778 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.778.0 - one has the problem and the other does not. The one with the problem has two external monitors and the laptop closed. Every time I boot I have to raise and lower the laptop lid to get the phantom screen between the two monitors to disappear. The laptop without the taskbar pro
When I hover over taskbar icons, they frequently show the popup for the task adjacent to it. it is very frustrating. An example of hovering over Chrome and having Outlook Inbox popup: Start 11 1.24 Windows 11 Pro 21H2
I found the problem. The "gap" was the closed laptop lid acting as a 3rd monitor.
When I got the Windows key in the phantom area, there is no pop-up - only when the mouse is in either actual screen. I never changed any default switching setting since installing Multiplicity on this new laptop about a week ago.
Same behavior with just two monitors - a phantom between the two
Please send a link or subject for the thread that is supposed to fix this. Nothing I have yet found has worked. Still a phantom
I have not seen an answer. Nothing is the other thread works
There are only two computer. Left computer has two monitors and then a third monitor on the second laptop. None of the setting above change the behavior of a phantom between the right-most monitor on first laptop to the 3rd monitor on the 2nd laptop. It worked perfectly when the 2nd was left/primary with two monitors and an older laptop on the right with 3rd monitor. So what was once primary is no secondary and a new laptop is now primary. A few days ago, I had the additional older laptops al
I did try the top of those two settings last night and it did not help. The gap is a phantom display when only two monitors are in the array
I did try to top of those two settings last night and it did not help
Thanks!
I have this same problem and the switching option above did not make a difference. The gap or dead-space is very annoying. I am using the same monitors that were working flawlessly before and the former primary is now secondary and a new laptop primary.
I setup a new laptop and made it master. There is now a significant gap when moving mouse between the windows on the two laptops. How do I remove the deadspace?
