have lost all the cds and everything when i moved house recently so starting from scratch isnt an option am afraid, have backed everything up so it is there somewhere, but being a beginner, havnt a clue how to do it, thats what i meant in one of my ealier replys about little things.
yes am on vista, have created a restore point using tweek vista, also have restore point on vista or more than one so i know i have one it has happened before, i think it was when i used logon studio and tried to apply it, crashed at wrong time and it just goes to the time when it crashed.
ps my computer does not recognise a restore point.

triad to apply logonstudio app. computer crashed as i was applying it, now this is all i have managed to retreive, cannot get into my system restore, everything backed up, almost everything not working managed to get browser working to go on internet, have reloaded sdc to no avail, what else can i do.
anyony suggest any decent games to check out, ones i prefer are the adventure type ones, with action thrown in.ps am enjoying od now i have it working properly.

have just updated icon packager to 3.20a rc .033, and my icon package downloades that i installed onto the icon packager previously has dissappeared, anyone know what has happened and how i might get them back.
have just installed object dock and have it working on my desktop, its great except downloaded mozilla firefox icon put it on my desktop and tried to drag and drop onto the object dock taskbar, but it would not accept it, why is this and how can i put it on the taskbar.otherwise having fun getting to know my object desktop.

have checked your reply and you are right, however my point is a beginner does not know these things but a competent user does, they know the ins and outs so to speak.
can you apply different icons from different icon pacages and put them onto the computer.
eg. press windows + r brings up the run, there is no run in vista.
sorry i disagree, when your a beginner you notice even the smallest thing because you cant do them, when you are fully competent the small things are easily looked over because you are able and flexible enough to quickly do whatever needs to be done.
