I have a problem with the update. When OD+ is running, and I minimize a window, it pauses for 1-2 seconds before actually minimizing. If I close OD+, the pause goes away, so I know it's not a problem with my Vista setup. I tried disabling all thumbnail and DWM features, also disabled window-event hooking. I also disabled all docklets. Nothing helped. I get the pause everytime.
I can't click any of my icons. Even when I right-click on an icon, it's as if I'm right-clicking an empty spot on the bar because the context menu doesn't give me options for the icon I right-clicked. I uninstalled, reinstalled, enabled/disabled dragging, fooled with ontop. I can't seem to get it working. I'm running Vista.
pageflakes is cool... but I prefer netvibes - which also has tabbed pages, draggable boxes so you can arrange your pages, rss feeds, custom rss feeds, and an api module. One of the best parts about netvibes is the built-in rss reader. When you click on a feed link, it shows you the article within a sort of pop-up window rather than opening a new tab in firefox (or new window in IE). That's really the one feature that makes netvibes my start page over
it was useful... thanks! i didn't know about the control-left click in order to bring up the dock properties... which is why i always shy away from using a dock as a systray... i hate the ugly icons. now i can choose my own. thanks again!
I am not a member, and I got pop-ups and unders as well... didn't notice any porn though, but I didn't stick around too long to find out. Maybe if you join you don't get that crap... who knows...
mine won't change no matter what i do. reboot, kill explorer.exe, small/big/reset toolbar icons... ugh. and yes, I have the registered version... been a longtime odnt subscriber.

cavan1 - I know some WB skins don't have icon sets... but I also choose to always use a specific set. neither of those options work for me.
sir bichur - I've tried setting it to use the skin's toolbars, and also tried to force a specific set. neither option works.
I have the same problem as ngager, and I have the full, bought and paid for version of WB... I've been a odnt subscriber for years.
Nothing? Not even a simple "that's a known issue"... or "it should work"? Does anyone else have WB installed on a Windows 2003 Server? Do the toolbar icons work for you?

I posted this problem several months back and never got a response - just checking to see if anyone else has this problem or knows of a fix (or is it a known issue?). I have WB installed on a Windows 2003 Server. Everything works great except for the toolbar buttons. I can't get the WB toolbar icons to replace the default Windows icons. I have tried setting my preferences to force a certain toolbar set, and also used the "use whatever icons
I'd say DX objects - definitely. DX Themes can be nice, but they're too specialized for most people's tastes .. meaning, not every person is going to 100% love any theme that's produced, and I'd be willing to bet most people that use DX can't change it, or don't care to spend the time changing it to their liking. But if you promote the quality and numbers of DX objects, you'll get a bigger following for DX...
I would love to buy this, mainly because I just love Stardock products - but I too can't really justify the cost. I've also used Synergy, and have had no real problems to speak of - and I have no problems using network shares for any file copy/paste functions, as I don't do it that often. I am having problems getting the toolbar icons and windows animations to change, regardless of what settings I choose in the WB config screen. Even if I choose to always use a specific set of toolbar icons and animations, they never change from the Windows default - even after a reboot. There's nothing wrong with minimalistic skins. Personally, I am 30, and spend most of my computing time at work. In fact, my OD subscription is for use on my work laptop... I don't even use any of the OD apps on my home computers. When I was 16, sure, I spent countless hours playing games and looking at porn just like the rest of the 16 year olds. i hate being told my downloads are being queued. it should just queue it up, and d/l whenever possible.
