I completely disagree I was stating basic facts about the starbase. There's nothing for you to disagree with since I wasn't writing an opinion.
Yea there is , opinion or not , ANTIMODULE isnt the way forward. I really think its not the intention of Ironclad to do that. But seriously you really need to get your facts right. 40% ? erm no. You shouldnt be so biased when talking about Starbases...except wh
P5yy
You need to take a bath. wait i mean , you need to be patient
Yeah, the stuff said earlier in this post (like the settings for your user.setting file to detect desyncs) still holds. Send in those checksums and they will try to find it.
Dot bother. Send them to annatar . He knows what to do
More specifically, the Vasari starbase's second weapon (the first upgrade) deals ANTIMODULE damage. It's intentionally much quicker to upgrade (25 seconds compared to 60 for all other upgrades), and there's a later-game tech that makes the starbase 40% (I think) quicker to deploy in hostile wells.
I completely disagree . Theres no way the upgrade could do that. Its ANTIMODULE isnt really that damaged. Vasari Second weapon upg
Yea I find it annoying. Im skipping back and forth from original to entrenchment. Its tedious
The Flak frigate is pretty good combined with a scout . It can fire on multiple mines and with its high Hp can take a few mine hits too
I find Starbase balance quite interesting.. you have to take it from 2 points of view.. Single player - Where the AI will attack the Starbase. Its terrible behaviour. Ive seen AIs lose level 6 caps because they try to kill my Starbase instead of just go around it. Multi player - Where players usually just avoid Starbases/kill his ally instead.
Everyone please try to spread this message to noobs, newbs and newcomers to not surrender when they want to leave prematurely* like a pussy... It messes up an entire team when someone surrenders prematurely. Its not honrable , because deciding to leave in the first place makes you a pussy. But atleast if you want to be a pussy , just quit so that the AI takes over and atleast gives your team a fighting chance. * does not in
This thread smells silly. People who got the brain capacity to follow your instructions, prolly allredy did so before this post. People who didin't. prolly wont do it despite this post.
Bullshit , I KNOW it when your playing against me, your desperately alt-tabbing out to read my strategy threads
So I see this bad habit all the time. You've conquered a grav , yet your ENTIRE fleet of strikecraft and frigates sit there watching a capship bomb the planet. Now whilst this is happening..you have no idea whats in the neighbouring gravwells. You ever stop to think maybe you should leave the caps killing the planet and try to attack another grav well before the enemy can build up there. Now you remember the AI. Remember all those times you spend killin
Lol , dont even need a buddy. Just host a 1v1 with both you and the AI on the same team. OMG win.
One thing that plays on my mind , is when the AI suddenly surrenders and your thinking "awwww I just built half a dozen novaliths...why!?" So I think its better to have a button for each AI player that you can ask them to surrender and then you get get a funny retort like.. "you first , smart arse" but then if it is hopeless for them , then they will accept surrender. So If you really really want to , you can pound away and not even give them the opportu
i got a frend
bullshit :P
Ive used 3 Eggs before. Egg is great. Especially as your second and third egg dont really need colonising so you can focus on nano ability. Plus it has a handy strike squadron. Nothing is better then having 3 Targets under nano attack in a grav well
The other allies are still trying to bring down an enemy. 2 enemies are bringing you down. Its no hope for you , and your homeworld will die. What can you do? Heres some tips of the top of my head. Everyone pls contribute. General Theories. Delay Delay Delay. The more you delay the enemy , the more you can help your allies to give them time to kill the enemy. Be a nuisance. Think long term , about how you can help when you dont have any Homeworld or income left. W
LMAO @ OP You wasted your time . Theres an easier way to get a win in 3 seconds.
One thing however I have noticed which is quite rude , is when there is a skilled host and hes got 10 players ready in a game. Then suddenly someone who he knows joins through the chat channel. forexample , a [DT] hosts a game (not nessarily competitive game , just PUG ) . It has a couple of randomish players in it too. Then suddenly another [DT] joins the chat channel and goes "heya fellow [DT]s can I play!? , make room buddies!" So then a poor r
For the 3rd Expansion Sins : Conquest Frontlines have been breached , forces from all three sides have become scattered. The TEC Government has collapsed , suffering a hugh credit crunch. Vasari factions start to lose their loyalty as local vasari warlords rise to power. The Advents unity has all but dissolved away leading to fanaticism and cults. Rogue Factions now begin to spread out , leaving the sanctuary of their starbases. No longer led by higher
My point is for a game that does not have a large multiplayer following why are their serious clans not willing to give normal players a chance to prove themselves effectively putting them off from playing online multiplayer
Why do you want to prove yourself to clans (or atleast competitive clans)? Why does this impact on whether you play online multiplayer? You do know clans like [DT] and [_] only want to play competitive team-games with feeding-coordination requi
Afaik , repair plats (vasari) have antimatter. I tried to use the ability from one of my cobalts. It allowed me to , but the antimatter of the pad stayed at 300/300. not too sure the ability did anything.
I dont like how when you build lots of mines , all the pips fill up (below the planet icon) in zoomed out mode making it appear that you have alot of structures but you really dont. Can instead of having mines represented by the same pips that represent structures , can we have a different shaped pip. Maybe instead of the little rectangles , have little round dots to represent the pips for mines. Also can we introduce this idea for Strikecraft , so that just by looking at
Can I just say this.. After having played a few online games with Entrenchment , Im really Glad that Ironclad had the foresight NOT to promote defensive options in the Original game for the sake of a dynamic fleet orientated game to compensate for its slow nature. Atleast I got a good year out of it.
Basically this is it... Smallish Combatative maps for 8-10 players , 4v4 and 5v5 Distances between enemies (2-5 jumps) - 2 asteroids-planet-neutral etc All "strategically placed" Dead Asteroids HAVE an artifact All neutrals are distributed fairly. Some at equal distances , and equal number of neutrals at biased distances Some maps have a secondary star giving access to another system with 3-4 neutrals to benefit those who research long jumps <
Im really disappointed with the Vasari Starbase. I think it should be remoddled because the Vasari deserve better then a Giant Rattle for a Starbase . I know Ironclad can do better! the TEC one looks great. [e digicons]:digichet:[/e] . Ive also noticed when the Starbase fires its lasers , they appear from flat textures that dont even represent anything that should fire lasers. Thats lazy!. http://img4.imageshack.us/my.php
