I want to chat if im dead. best is an option. Tournaments - off , Friends Game - on , Random Games - off ...etc If its a social game with friends then its great to have bantar that continues even if someone is dead. If your dead and you cant chat , most often or not you just quit because you feel so isolated.

I remember that the guy who did Warlords in Homeworld 2 was also here and is looking at the potential of Sins for modding. I think it was in the old forums tho. He might still be around.
He makes the point of when one should start upgrading. thats a no no . Need to look at the tactical situation first. As just a bunch of calculations to just know , then its fine.
I agree with Schod . Fsake lol :( data is accurate . but its results are useless to the proper game scenario. Its better to make a judgement on upgrading based on your tactical situation which imfraid cant be set in stone as its different for every game.
Was this a random map? Should have played a symmetrical custom. It eliminates map unfairness as a factor in anybodies victory.
Python is script I use Poser 7 :D
Ill make a strategy guide. Ive been playing the game for quite a long time. I wont go into specifics on units tho , just general concepts because as we all know the release is gonna have alot of changes so hopefully I can make up some concepts that can apply to the general strategy of the game PS- Prima and official guides (for rts) are usually very very nooby and do nothing but expand on useless information , almost like a glorified instruction manual rather then an indepth help guide
Yea with 15 days to go , people know they will be playing something alot better and tons more features so alot of people are waiting for this. Having said that , try 11pm gmt time . Most busy time
The digital download is kept on your SDC account which means you can download it whenever you want. CDs , you can lose.
Supreme Commander... Wankey.... Can it be?? :SURPRISED:
One thing thats really cool in this game is the special abilities of the capital ships. However im wondering if its easy to program/mod in your own special abilities. I know some members have already made their own special abilities namely pithlith but the thing im wondering is how easy is it to mod the AI to understand how and when to autocast the ability. Forexample some abilities on autocast should activate if there are many allied ships in the area , and some abilities on autocast s
we can use this poll to practice are voting skills :P
SPORE IS 1 VOTES AWAY!!!! Wipe your cookies people, its time for round 2!
Have you seen EaW trick for ship movement yet , where ships move , but very slowly towards the target. Nothing fast that would make the ship bump into the target , but enough so that when your sightseeing from a fixed view , you can just notice the ships all moving. Homeworld 2 trick for movement is for frigates to strafe slightly up down left right. It doesnt make a difference to anything but atleast from a sightseeing point of view it looks pretty cool. Some ships in Sins hav
180+ 3rd place :D we are destroying Spore!
meh , you take this argument over to the supcom boards and they will tell you your both wrong.
The Athlon1700XP architecture is really old. The min req of a 1.8ghz probably reflects that of the new architecture Conroes and Yonahs , like my Celeron M or modern day Centrinos (conroes). New architecture chips are much more powerful then the old arhitecture chips. Your chips will struggle For a quick fix...you could borrow spare parts and second hand stuff to upgrade that PC for less then 200$ probably.. for your AGP slot - simply search around for a second hand/old 96
I'm more for the advanced microing than the easier to handle-type of game. You like micro? Ick. Indeed. The day they make the X-universe designed to play like Sins I'm one happy space monkey.
By X-universe are you refering to games like x3 reunion? :SURPRISED:
Multiplayer right from the go There is a third option people forget - LANners who are half/half
Homeworld 2 should never have been made, period
Harsh! , hw2 was a great game. It just lacked support because of crap marketing which meant that sierra went bust on this project and moved onto other more profitable things.
Sins runs remarkably well on low end systems. With low graphics settings and turned-off effects I can run sins with a decent framerate on a low-end PC and i have been playing Sins since beta 2, with 8 player maps , with myself PLUS 7 AIs , even up to 9. - Celeron 1.6ghz M 420 - equivalent to a Core 1 single yonah core with only 1mb cache , not 2mb. - 64mb Intergrated x200 radeon - equivalent to the heavily criticised X300 , except that the X200 has only half the rendering pipelines
gfx card is fine. Im on a X200 mobility express with 64mb of shared memory and ive played with 8 players ONLINE. the trick is that in sins , alot of the game is played slightly zoomed out to manage your empire so theres less 3d stuff to render. When I do go zoomed in , I have everything set to low and effects off and i get a fps of around 20 which is playable .
those ending in .jpg dont count :P
moi? , nah I stole this from Total Annihiations highly successful Boneyards , and its spinoffs .. Pheonixworx and another one i forget..
Igw multiplayer system. Host and join on particular stars as certain races. IF you win , that star moves alignment slightly. Fully aligned stars to a race will make adjacent stars contested thus other stars will now be able to be played on. Thus map variety. Players must choose a certain race and this stays with that account. They can have an account for each race tho. When they win a Igw game on a star , they gain rank points. The star system is split evenly between
