I prefer games where I can make my own story, like X3 reunion, and games like Total war. If a game has a forced linear storyline, I don't play it, end of story.
I honestly wonder why Stardock actually bother being so player-friendly sometimes, it seems they get nothing but grief for it. Release a series of great games with no copy protection, no cd requirement and no DRM? We'll moan about the delivery system! Release a free update which you don't have to but work on for hours and at cost in order to say thanks to customers - never fear, they'll complain that you didn't put in certain ship d
Right on 1024/768 whenever I enter the ship designer from the main menu I get a flashing "loading" on the bottom. It flashes constantly and can only be remedied by alt-tabbing.
Well I hope it doesn't make me reinstall, 12-20 hours of downloading doesn't suit me well.
Here's another look at the Asian market for PC games: As far as I know, Asian game developers are the only developers in the world to offer MMOPRG software for free. In fact, a substantial number of Asian games can be played ALSO FOR FREE. When your system software is free for everyone, it can't be pirated. Simple and effective. In fact, you WANT pirates to host your software platform on their servers so you can a
Im not saying its easy. But thats not a user problem, really. Console protection doens always work. You can install Linux on xbox.. xbox360 is cracked too.. nonetheless it is hard to pirate, .
The only reason consoles don't get pirated as much is that the games for them all suck, once more and more dev teams run away like lil pussies with their tails between their legs we'll see a substantial increase in piracy.
Whats the order of update? DL -> DA -> TA? or just download the TA update? I just updated in the order it gave me. Just update whatever Impule tells you to update, and follow the directions. Piracy is only a problem if people make it a problem, over hyping your game and plugging your game full of DRM isn't gonna protect your game, All drm does is challenge pirates, you build a wall and some ass hole is gonna wanna tear it down. Seriously, many successful games don't have heavy copy protection and you don't hear them whining constantly about piracy. Just make a good game and let people play it. Look at spore, they threw on bucket loads of DRM, over hyped the ga
Whats the order of update? DL -> DA -> TA? or just download the TA update? Stupid Failpulse. Wish there was a Direct download...
i Still need to buy it but I doubt I'l be able to get into town for awhile, I WANT IT SOO BAD.

I have used 1024x768 for as long as I can remember and I doubt I will change anytime soon.

Sounds like just a pubicity stunt, if a company really believes this then they don't need to state it. Though I have to admit it, this has gotten stardock alot of publicity, several forums I visit have threads on this, so I guess it was a success. Also: 8: Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers. Isn't making people use Impulse to update there games kinda treating them like potential criminals?
Also the first game in the OP is Voyage Century not bounty Bay. (Though I think they might be the exact same thing) Also Air Rivals is fun but its a grind fest.

It would be better if we could download patches without these stupid "download managers" I'm doing a complete reinstall of Gal-civ 2 because according to Failpulse my install had some errors, so I unistalled, cleared my saves and directory and whatnot. Installed Gal-civ2 originall from disk and opened up impulse and tried to update to 1.5. It never got past "download starting" after waiting like a half hour. Opened up SDC and clicked update. Small workaround: Defleet a group select all ships and set a destination then once they are there refleet. Dunno if it'd work well in wartime though.
I'm getting it too its really annoying.
Yes I sooo want this game... Sabre Class please.
Eve online is a great game, Currently the Proud Owner of a Rokh, Scorpian, Drake and countless smaller ships... About that whole developer scandal, BoB won the war long before that stupid scandal, they won when they Destroyed CYVOK's Titan. Its a worthy game, though alot seem to put more importance on PvP when Mining is very important to the game and Missioning is a good way to make a few bucks... anyways FOR THE STATE!
I always believed in Paganism, you know Greek/Roman(there the same for the most part) Norse(Viking for the non-smart) and to a lesser extent Egyptian and Gallic mythology.. I mean they seem'd more human, look at Zues he can't help sleeping with hot chicks.. Also the threat of the Gods destroying you cause you didn't let someone into your house is always a good belief, the fact that the Norse gods were Mortal (except Balder) really makes you respect them also. Besides, look at all the My
