Just as an update, the new beta (1.20b[b].019) seems to have fixed this problem for me (finally).

I'm having the same problem with Vista and Multiplicity Pro. I don't know if the problem is related to my hardware, but I also have a Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 (Laser Mouse 5000, Laser Keyboard 6000, Dual Receiver) with the latest version of IntelliPoint, though I believe that explorer was crashing before I installed IP.
