If you can name a strategy game, any game at all, that can do what the AI just did above (other than gc2, whose AI I wrote) then please tell me. I can tell you that 1.1's AI couldn't do it.
This is the most depressing thing I have read all day. I had thought Frogboy wrote the AI for gc3, real bummer to hear that he did not [e digicons]:S[/e] Sort of makes me think that this AI

I find your post well thought out and articulated. I as well have been a fan for quite some time. Although I would not go so far as to say it is a mess your post does clearly show how much of a step back galciv3 is compared to galciv2 twilight, something I guess I overlooked or did not want to see. Having said that, I still have much hope, but in the last month it seems the focus has been on sorcerer king since it is at release time. I can only hope that focus

Yes, that is the global setting for steam however each game has to have the support built in. GalCiv 3 did on release day but it was screwed up and they disabled it. So my question involves wondering when they will put it back in. thanks

I have not seen much official posting from Stardock recently although I have seen some posts about SK so it must be getting some attention. I am hoping this means that they are busy wrapping up the next update [e digicons]:D[/e]

Question, so when I get to the point in tech tree to choose industrial specialization and I choose research specialization does that mean I can not ever get to advanced construction, construction optimization, etc?

Is it planned to support steam cloud so that we can have our game saves stored and play them on other computers? Assuming either yes (someday) or no, what files or directory structure would need to be archived to achieve this? Thanks

I felt the AI on galciv2 was very good. It is Stardock's AI (particularly Brad's love and care for such) that sets the galciv series apart from other space based 4x games. If I did not expect galciv3 to have at least as good if not better AI then I would not have near as interested in the game. My time is fragmented and inconsistent so playing multiplayer is not really an option and so a entertaining AI is king for me.

At *ahem* work I run dual monitors that both have higher resolutions than 1920 x 1080. I no longer can get GC3 to run 1920 x 1080 in a windows. It runs only full screen now. I would be happy to report issue but I do not know where to do so. Thanks

ok, no problem thanks for explaining it. Using dropbox, what is the best way to moved saved games around my computers? Is it just the saved game directory or are there others that might need to be included? Thanks

This is most likely a steam issue or a user issue but I have a problem where my saved games are not syncing to the steam cloud so that my galciv3 saves from one computer do not appear in the list of saved games on my other computer. Any thoughts?

I for one am super excited. I signed up for the Founder's Elite the day it opened (Oct 15, 2013) and have had fun watching the game progress. I read a few posts about problems or such but overall when trolling the forum it is mostly positive. Admittedly I have not played the alpha and beta near as much as some others here but I have had fun every step of the way. I have loved the GalCiv series and the quality of previous versions of it gave me the confidence I need
