Just to be sure, I do have to modify NumStrings to the new total amount right?
Yes, all 'Counts' in every file must always reflect the number of items in the list below it. I've seen it occasionally work when the number is wrong, but I would recommend making sure every 'Count' number is correct.

Right, its good to see there isn't another 20 posts from people who can't get it to work. The error seems to be random, and I will look into it today. @ rugby9 Good to hear it worked, and the carrier fleet is supposed to be there, usually though its only about 5, you must have been unlucky, and depending on feedback, I will alter the numbers a bit. @ Unknown User Thats a relief too. If you can activate it, it should work alright, I haven't had it crash af

Mmm... the way I was thinking of won't work. I was hoping editing the texture file and the .brushes file could be used to stretch the card window, and then remove the right hand side of it so it appeared to be aligned to the middle section. I'm short on time, but if you are still having problems tomorrow, I'll try and have a look.

Can you both do me a favour please, can you try it again a few times, just to make sure. I tried it again by changing something that shouldn't have made a difference and it magically worked. Thanks... Edit: IF YOU ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTING THE MOD TO WORK, TRY TO ACTIVATE IT AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN WHEN ENTERING THE OPTIONS SCREEN Don't ask why, but the mod appears to only crash on activation when a planet is in view of the

Well, I've just retried it with the .zip, and clearly the man upstairs doesn't like me this week. Its f*cking crashed. I'm just about to hit the sack, and it f*cks up, thats just my f*cking luck. You'll excuse the swearing... but I'm a little annoyed.

No, I simply can't add more than one custom planet type for research. I've used existing ones (Asteroid, Ice, Terran, etc) for my research. I'm hoping a dev somewhere could answer this, but so far they have been pretty silent in this section. Fingers crossed anyway :D
I loaded up the mod, and right off the bat I noticed a pretty large bug. No icons lol. It was stuck in cinimatic mode permenantly. No phase lanes, no icons, nothings. Kinda hard to play that way really.
I've seen this before. Do you use cinematic mode a lot? Did you per chance quit while in cinematic mode? I've quit while in this mode and it saves it as your default view. Check the video options and effects and make sure all the relevant boxes are ticked.
thinking you had added more artifacts.
Adding more could be very difficult, changing them though should be relatively easy. But I'm not going to branch in Artifact just yet ;)
I can't download from rapidshare. Can you also host it somewhere else?
Why, what else have you been downloading? I'm uploading to Filefront as we speak. Edit: You can't download from either of the Rapidshares?

When you take a planet, you will sometimes get a Planetary Bonus. The ones you normally see are Porous Core, Dense Core, but thats mainly because everyone can see them. Most require you to land on a planet, Mega Fauna, Thermal Lift, or Ionic storms. Some require you to 'Explore' the planet, like Huge Glaciers, Spice Trade, etc...
No more slacking off and playing video games all day, huh?
I know, working for a living sucks, but some of us have to do it eh? ;)
you bastid I just installed 1.0b! Just kidding, love all the work you are putting into it. keep it up!
Furture updates should be fewer and far between with a lot more in each one. Thanks for the comments everyone ;) Dan, if you could make a texture it would be awesome. I spent the longest time on the Urban planet texture, and although I do like it, there is definitely room for improvement. Oh, and go right ahead with using this with you mod, thats not a problem at all. I just hope we don't find any other snags, back to work tomorrow and back to limited free time.

Oh oh, pick mine, please!!11111one They all have their own way of changing or adding to the game, and so its really a personal choice. I haven't looked to much into the two Enhances, but The Mars Effect and the Distant Star mods are coming on very nicely. But the only real way you are going to find the one you want, is regrettably try them all. One man's Trash is another man's Treasure.

OK. Updated to the Glorious and hopefully unf*cked 1.1 DELETE YOU ORIGINAL SINS PLUS THEN INSTALL THIS ONE This will save any cross overs or any other complications.

@ Admiral_Cobbs Yep, that was the problem, the research was just generally f*cked. And I have received a lot of PM's about people who are going to include my mod with theirs. So future mods should be good to go. The only problem with that is, when I release an update, things could get complicated, authors would have to re-merge. @ Zyxx Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. Also, one Urban planet alone could counter the money drain from 3 undeveloped planets. Howev

No, I suppose in most respects you are right Annatar, but there is one more thing that you can't do; more than one custom planet research type. This makes doing any more than one custom Colonisation research impossible, and also removes any population capacity researches for more than one custom planet types. Also, after altering many, many files, I still cannot add an additional research block (not section). I can increase one of the original 3 in Military, or Non-Military, but adding

I like your thinking verybad, and I have already implemented what you have suggested. Barren planets and Gas Giants even when fully upgraded will cost you money, due to the fact that keeping platforms operating in a Gas Giant would be very maintenance heavy, and Barren colonies would require oxygen and supplies constantly. The starting under-development tax for both of these is crippling early on (I actually hit 0 Credits when testing, I just expanded too quickly), but the payoffs can be

@ OrangeJumpSuits Good to hear you know the error of your ways ;) :D @ gaultesian Ah, thats good to hear. Next update should be soon, just some testing left (thought I better thoroughly test it this time ;)). It will include: - Research for upgrading the population capacity on Barren and Urban planets, as well as asteroids. Level-4 - Research to allow colonisation of Gas Giants. Level-6<br

All those are however, very difficult to do with no proper support (our current situation). And research is very messy at the moment, a lot of things simply don't seem to work. So, in theory, yes to all, but Good luck, because you WILL need it.

Check the .Brushes files in the Window folder. One of them will have a reference to the picture used and the size of that picture. You may have to play around with the texture files. Could you give me some info one what exactly you are editing? What files specifically, and what lines?
