Still here? Lol
r u for real? why is that such a problem to u? u can just enter the thread and jump from there to the last page. u r really starting to just nit pick for the sake of nit picking. and i did read ur post. u said post something helpful or in agreement. i said why i didnt post anything in agreement.
I'm "for real". I said it "gets on my nerves a little". It is not a problem, a problem is something that does not belong, something that is where it sh

Try it and report back ;) Best way to investigate something like this, and you already know more than I do about this tool, so go for it :D
Yeh. Probably right Multi.
read the second post i made. why would i make a post agreeing to the fact that this forum sucks when its pretty damn decent.
Clearly you didn't read my post sir,
I'm with Multi here. Input something helpful or in agreement, or not at all.
You posted neither, therefore you are in the wrong. And like Multi said, you are 'bashing'.
i think u people expect too much.. oh and u can ju
@ IHIavok Like my good man Aequitas said, best thing to do is arrange by modified. And no, SubT is new, like all the planetary bonuses. The Cavern System you may be thinking of is still in there somewhere. @ Aelya Is all sorted now. What happened was when I updated, I removed the too file links and put in the new ones. However, if one of you downloaded from one of the old links before I updated, and the other downloaded the new one, then that would be the problem.<
In return you (or Uzii) could make the required tech to colonize them very, very expensive so that it's balanced again.
It is an expensive research, and level 6. If you want it increases, post in my thread to what you'd like it to be, if you haven't already.
I'm with Multi here. Input something helpful or in agreement, or not at all. I also get lag and server errors, but usually at night (GMT). One thing though, where you get a sever error after you typing in a post or reply, just hit the refresh button. On Firefox it asks me about POST DATA, I click OK and it reloads the page with my reply present :D One thing that gets on my nerves a little, and if I've missed it, please enlighten me; why can't I jump to the last page of a thread
Space Empires 5 AKA Space Empires V AKA SE V, or SEV ;) Good game, your traditional 4X game, with huge amounts of research and options. Very fun, but Vanilla AI sucks badly.
SEV, great game, shame about the AI. Ok, well, hope to see you in the near future back with us ;)
A quick update, and I apologise for the double post, but this is worth getting noticed. I got it to work! For once the man upstairs cut me some slack :D :D :D Copy the Ability and Buff file of one of the other Gravity well abilities (Plasma Storm, Asteroid Field, etc...), then alter what you want in the buff file to your effects. Then, well, I'll post a screen seeing as tab-spaces don't seem to work on this forum. [img]http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/3411/buff
I haven't tried it MP, but no doubt it is that one number. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say it is a Vista issue. I'm slightly prejudice against Vista anyway, but that probably is the problem. The checksum I think is the total size of the folder, in bytes. Actually, I think I know where it is. Can you both download from the link on the front page again (I know, its a pain, but this should fix it). I released a ultra minor fix yesterday, literally one letter in one file,
I must admit, I've had the privilege of a sneak peek, and it is very nice. Feels like what the Sins' galaxies should've been based on to begin with. Keep it up Jaga ;)
Like the Sticky on this very Forum section; [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=443&aid=174340"]LINK[/link]
A simple and harsh answer; No. The final mod tools may say otherwise, but at the present, I don't see a way to do it. And I'm not aware of a way to control the distance between gravity wells outside of the Galaxy Forge. Although, when they do spawn right next to each other randomly, it can get confusing and annoying.
Thanks. But after more faffying around, I can't get it to work. I have no idea why, it all seems proper, but none of the effects change anything for the factories when building ships. I will try again tomorrow, sometimes sleeping on a problem reveals something you missed first time round. I just hope its doable. Thanks again for the reply, and no problem about the credit ;)
I know its not what you want, but you could change the fleet supply. Really pump it up for the high end stuff, talking 300, or 400 maybe. Same kind of thing, but a slightly poor mans ways of doing it. Best I can think of.
Ok, I'll reveal a little bit on what I am working on. At present, planet bonuses are the only way to give other effects to planets. However, they are very limited, only 17 different effects. But, if you could add these abilities to certain planet types, then each planet could get a whole lot more interesting. I was trying to increase build rates for ships and buildings. Building rate for structures can be changed through a bonus, but not ships. This is what I am looking into. If you sa
Sorry man, I have no idea. Good luck though, might be one of those thing that will be possible once the final mod tools are out.
Yep, I can back that up too. Usually I see it occur with larger fleets.
(no just making it cost more than 50% of a planets tactical\civilian slots isnt an option)
Why? 2 ways to do this. Increase all the structures slots they use, from 4 to something like 20. Or, make every planet have 4 Civilian slots. If this is what you mean, it really isn't that hard to do. If this isn't what you mean, can you elaborate a bit?
Mmm.. I think it would be best to remove my URL's, if thats Ok. Just replace it with a link to my threads main page. Then all updates will be seen. Thanks.
- Nifty new game-screen logo
:D Gotta to see this after all those PM's we exchanged. Nice work.
I also have yet to discover how to add a new Planetary Bonus. And believe me, I should know ;) If you do come across it, please let us know, although I've no doubt you would've anyway.
All good comments to hear, makes it all worth while. And Silver, I found the problem, it was a string issue, but it was on the other end. Not in the .str file, but in the PlanetBonus file. So I didn't need all that info after all ;) :D The new links on the front page are an updated version, with this minor bug fixed. Cypher, I don't think it is my mod, as it shouldn't override any core game files, and so shouldn't effect the main game. A total reinstall (delete all trac
At the moment, no, not that I know of. It would be abso-f*cking-lutely brilliant if one of the devs could devote some time to this section of the forums. The modding community is keeping itself afloat at present, but more and more questions are piling up, unanswered. We can only hope.
Most mods should work with the AI. Mine does I know that. They will research new subjects, they will colonise new planets, and I'm pretty sure they use new abilities, but I'm not 100% on that one.
