And finally, any mention about using default files that are not in a mod folder to save space? Namely the 1.07Gb Textures folder?
This is fixed in 1.03.
You sir, and your team, are God's among men, I cannot thank you enough.

I'm just off, but it depends on which 'Random' maps you are using. User created random maps in the map maker (in-game) will have them at the bottom of the list of planets, and also in all the relevant categories. However, I have not tested them with the 'Random Small/Medium/etc Map' in the map lists from Vanilla. I'm not sure how they pick them randomly, but if they use the GalaxyScenarioDef file, then they should include the planets. If you'd like to see/play them, make a qui
Now, I don't mind helping people who can't find a thread. But when its on the FIRST PAGE it does take the p*ss a bit.
But I can't find it.
You didn't look very hard: [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=443&aid=178003"]Sigh.... Here it is[/link]
Thanks for the input Minkus, that is what I will do; leave them doubled or tripled up.
Maybe he's updating it. The only reason I can think of someone taking it off is either to update (takes a few days from when you upload the new version), or because a game-ruining bug has been discovered. And even if it was the latter, then a fix would be on the way too.
Have you tried PM'ing the author? It should have his name in the downloads section.
It may ;) I haven't got to that part yet, but a strong militia present is almost a definite. Probably on par with the Urban planet now. I'm still looking for an answer on the chance of Bonuses. 1. Do I keep it as it is now with increased chance of getting some bonuses, but as a result you could get the same one twice, or thrice. 2. Do I give every planet one of each so you will never get the same one twice on a single planet, but as a result you are just as
1.2 is in full flow now, so I'll give you a list of the include Planets (not bonuses as the list isn't finalised): - Toxic Planet (kind of a Venus, crystal deposits) - Paradise Planet (similar to Oceanic, but with minimal Tactical Slots and Planet Health, huge culture bonus) - Industrial Planet (Heavily polluted, increased ship build time) - Old Naval Base (Increased Range, Damage, and Chance to hit for Capital Ships and Orbital Guns) (My personal favo
Firstly, good to see another patch out soon. Secondly, the odd post in the Modding forum could help some people with problems that no-one but the dev team know. And finally, any mention about using default files that are not in a mod folder to save space? Namely the 1.07Gb Textures folder? Having one of them for every mod that even uses one custom texture is causing problems for the masses when installing and not fully reading the README, and taking up a great deal o
And the Golder Rule in Modding is: Check, Double Check, and Triple Check Everything. Normally I would congratulate people on their success over a problem, but seeing as this wasn't a problem really, you shall get none ;)
ManSh00ter I believe also has this problem, and so far I don't think he has found a fix.
As far as I know, MiniDumps are completely useless. I hope someone comes along and says different but for us modders they don't seem to serve us any purpose at all.
Ok, that is weird. Everything seems above board, except one thing. In the GameInfo for the mod, you have 895 files. In the GameInfo for the main directory, you have 896. That means there is one less file in the Mod'd folder. This maybe part of the mod, but I doubt it, as I'm pretty sure all mods either change(same number as main directory), or add(higher number than main directory) files, rather than remove. The one thing to do really, is either find out which file is mis
I'm just new planets and new planet bonuses, Skyline has put this lovely mod together, so he's the real creator ;)
Just a couple of screens man. One inside each of the folders in the Mod, and then one inside the mod itself. You've got 15 minutes then I'm off, maybe someone else can help you after that, or maybe you'll have to wait another day :D ;)
I imagine you could use an extension of that reasoning to explain the double Slaves bonus I have on a desert world...War -> More war -> Someone won and enslaved the rest -> free planet developments for me.
Lol, thats a nice way to think of it. I hate to drag this out more, you(Marko) are correct, but you are also looking at this from the other side that I am. The war for the Middle East (for simplicities sake is over Oil) is raging because the Oil reserves on th
A little change log or at least a rough outline of what they do, or changes you've made would be nice. A one sentence description for a mod is a little... uninformative. Even a screenshot to advertise and show off your handiwork?
he knows that if sand gets in your vagina you get angsty and are more likely to start fighting.
Plausible as it is, no. :d I figured this for a few reasons. Where resources are short, wars will ensue. That is the main reasoning behind it, look at the wars on Earth, not the major World Wars, but others. Either Religion or Resources are the causes of nearly all of them. On a planet with very limited water, vegetation, and other life, everything is a matter of life
It will help, although getting the poles to align correctly will take some time.
What about the crew to fly the Cap ships? Only get 16 by default? What do you do to adjust that?
[link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=443&aid=301777"]Reply Number 5[/link]
So, it worked, you close the game, you opened the game, you RE-ENABLED the mod and then tried it? Closing the game will remove any mod activated, unless you tick the 'Load Mod on Startup' box. If you did that and it didn't work, then you really need to start posting more screenshots. Descriptions can only give us so much to work with, something inconsequential to you may be the one thing that is messing everything up and we would see straight away. So, I as
In Extracted the MOD takes about 210-220 MB.
And installed takes well over a Gig ;)
Its not technically a mod. More of a way to designing maps.
No, the Textures and Window folder MUST go in each of the mod folders that use them. If the mod had them in, then you must put them in. The Textures folder usually comes with just the textures the author changed or added. You must first put the original folder in, all 1.07Gb of it. Then you must copy in the custom ones. Basically, if the mod used textures, you must have a textures folder (all of it) in the mod's directory. Thats why it can become very space
Erm, what are the Textures and Window folders doing in there?
