i have 20.7 gb free on my comp but what are specs?
Right click on My Computer. Select properties. Look where it says Computer: and it'll list your processor and its speed, along with how much RAM you have. For your video card, click on the Hardware tab. Then click on Device Manager. In Device Manager, you want to click on the plus sign next to Display adapters. Listed there should be your video card.

Well, a lot of ideas floating around here. I tend to play as the Vasari. My basic strategy depends on the planet configuration, but when I want to have more of a fun beginning, I create a cap ship asap along with a couple support ships for it and then I harass the crap out of the enemy. I find it engaging and if all works out, in the long run I have a high level cap ship and the AI's economy is flagging behind mine. It's a bit risky, though and pirates can make things even mor

I wish I could. I am terrible with TEC. If you were playing as the Vasari I might be able to help, but this just sounds crappy. Maybe turtle a little bit and try and befriend one of the AI players. Basically, give lots and lots and lots of resources, I suppose. Maybe sacrifice a planet. Take a swipe at one of the asteroids, kick some butt, then pull back and do some damage to the fleet that is now wiping out your planet. Bad strategy, imho, but you seem pretty stalemated while
Hey all, I wrote a review for Gamesquad.com, a website I help maintain: Sins Review at Gamesquad.com: WWW Link I gave it a 9.0, which makes it an Editor's Choice.
Excellent review. Very well written and engaging. It also mirrors my thoughts in a lot of ways.
For what it's worth, I'm running this game on a 3-year old laptop that's 1.4GHZ with a 32MB ATI video card - and it runs fine. Sure, I've got all the graphics at their lowest settings, but it runs reasonably well. I'd bet it'll at least run for you.
That's because you have an integrated video chip more than likely. Meaning it has 32mb, but borrows from the RAM, so it runs more like a 128mb card. And if you have a mobile chip (ce
Out of curiosity, why is turtling considered a "valid tactic" ? Can you win the game any other way than killing your opponent?
Cause you can sit back and build a nice defense, then build up a strike force and then kick some butt. That's the general idea.
I hear ya...i have a XPS 720 Quad-core nVidia 8800 GT and it still crashes quit often. i usually run music in the background but it shouldn't do that this much. I need to rmeember to save every five minutes or else. This a glitch? Fixing anytime soon or did this last patch today fix it? Thanks.
Honestly, that could be a dell issue. First off, what program are you running in the background? Something like winamp can use up t

Well, there isn't a temperature file per se. Your best bet is to download Everest. The free version will be fine. It'll show you your cpu and gpu temps. Those are the two most important. Unfortunately, you can't check it in game, but when it crashes, take note of the temps. (If you are getting 80+ on the gpu, you're frying your video card; CPUs shouldn't be in the 50s) A quick way of checking to see if you are having heat issues, is to simply take off the door to your pc. If things work

Did you restart the computer before loading it back up? Are you aware of the temps inside your computer? Are your video drivers up to date? Sound drivers? Have you defragged your hard drive? Run a reg cleaner like ccleaner? What are your specs? The list goes on.

Great reviews. I'm finding it hard to believe that everyone really is so in love with this game. And I mean that in the sense that that rarely happens. Man oh man, this really has me stoked for the long future of Sins. Great job guys!
i predict gamespot to give this game an 8.0 or below. they wont give it anything higher because of the lack of advertising money and advertising pressure. look at how they have a new c&c or tiberium preview every other week. They gave some my favorite games, Psychonauts, Take Command Manassas, and Gal Civ 2, good reviews despite minimal advertising or initial interest

Split your forces while still developing more ships. One force on multiple fronts is never gonna work. They're gonna keep doing what they're doing. Is it possible for you to give something up (say, an asteroid) to have a better defensive advantage. And then build your stuff up more and strike hard.
