Great post. I found this fix a while back and it worked like a charm but I just updated icon packager and to my surprise, the registry entry that is causing this problem is still part of the installation package. Does anybody from Stardock read these threads? This is after applying the registry fix:

I figured it out :) In Skin Studio under Popup menus, Menu item, Extra Settings Menu Width Padding and Menu Height Padding were set to 7 by default but it said default was supposed to be 0. When I set it to 0 my annoying problem disappeared. Thanks for all your responses

I really like this skin because of the simplicity and clean look it has and it would be perfect if I could remove the space below the menu bar.

Same problem here. Shows up briefly and then disappears :( I started a support ticket with Stardock. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of this issue. Also, everytime I Reset Data, Impulse seems to be trying to update but it doesn't seem to take.

When trying to change an icon in windows I get this error message. I can only change icons using icon packager. I figured it out. I had to copy the activate.exe from the iconpackager program file folder to Documents and Settings\All Users/Application Data\Stardock\Icon
