Thanks Neil. Looking forward to seeing this fix soon!

Yah after seeing this problem appear on many times on their forums and not seeing a fix, and also seeing as how you mentioned there's many free programs that do most of what Start 11 does, and with MS improvements to Start menu, I am asking for a refund.
I am also having this issue with taskbar enhanced mode on. I only have noticed it though when I do a file copy operation. If I have taskbar grouping enabled, when I click on the taskbar, the action is delayed is about 4-5 seconds. If I disable taskbar grouping, mouse clicks do not respond at all until the file copy operation is complete, all of the clicks I do rapidly execute. Like they are queued up and then released to go all at once after the copy operation is done.
Wow, they still haven't fixed this problem yet? This problem has been reported by me and others since March 2013 (search the forums, you will find our posts). I gave up back them asking for a fix because it never came and I still can't believe 5 months later it still hasn't been. I refused to buy another Stardock product until they got this issue fixed and I guess I am still not buying any more products today.
[quote who="buttkkr" reply="14" id="3328295"] This is only a Temporary fix until Stardock resolves the problem. Instead of uninstalling DeskScapes you can turn it off under "Services\Stardock DeskScapes 8" right click on it and select "Properties" then "Disable" under the "Start type:" option then select "Stop" under the "Service status". You may need to restart after these changes. Once Stardock has resolved the issue you will need to go back into Services and reverse t
Agh, this fix works but it's a real PITA if you use your desktop lots!
I use klite codec pack which worked for me. I have windows 8 pro x64 so I had to download the x64 codec pack as well. Please be careful if you choose to install the klite codec pack as it will change how video/audio files are played on your computer! You can look up "mpeg2 codec" in google and start your research there.
Ok, so I did some troubleshooting I've tried logging off and loggin back in, there's no change, I still cannot move icons around. However, if I PAUSE Deskscapes, log off, and log back in, I can move my icons around. As soon as I resume Deskscapes I cannot move my icons again. I hope you guys can fix this so I can buy this great product!
I'm not sure about the Windows 7 update that broke your scapes, but in windows 8, they removed the mpeg2 codec, which some dreams/scapes use. But you can download standalone mpeg2 codecs. So glad I found this thread, I thought the randomizer function was missing too. Are you able to make the randomizer work on a per monitor basis? Great job Stardock!
I have the same problem, DeskScapes 8, Fences 2.0, Windows 8 Pro. Bought and installed Deskscapes, love it! Decided to try out Fences. Love the functionality, was about to buy it when I found I could not move my icons at all, whether they were in a fence or outside of one. Went through forums, saw other ppl with same issue. Does not work even after a reboot. Tried uninstalling Deskscapes 8, I could move my icons again. Installed Deskscapes 8, could not mo
