Thanks for the link. I especially enjoyed the part where people started reinstalling their browsers, or started using browsers other than Firefox. Or, god help the one that recommended Opera because it he thought the issue was browser based.

And...finally, I see Firefox with default protection options will flag attempts to link directly to certain parts of stardock sites as "A reported attack site". The URL I tried was "https://forums.stardock.com/398799" Reported Attack Page! This web page at forums.joeuser.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.
Doing a quick investigation, it looks like you're getting flagged thanks to user subdomains on wincustomize, joeuser and (surprisingly...) sdcentral.net, amongst others. I'll leave you to dig into this further, but as an example, here are two separate warnings that list some (not all...) problematic subdomains: Safe Browsing Diagnostic page for AS26554 (US) What happened when Google visited sites hosted on this networ
Searched google for "does nexus the jupiter incident have a first person cockpit view" and coincidentally the first hits were from joeuser.com and other stardock domains. Much to my surprise and your dismay, clicking those links netted a page that said: http://www.google.com/interstitial?url=https://forums.joeuser.com/334930 Warning - visiting
Would it load while Impulse was checking for updates at nearly 4am while I was sleeping?
The download file is 8.4gb. 13gb may represent the disk space needed for installation. The log (click the impulse "?" icon top corner for options like displaying the error log) should help troubleshoot.
I found: ARLRDBD.TTF --Arial Rounded MT Bold BankGthd.ttf -- BankGothic Md BT Medium I have GC2 and both expansions - so I'm unsure if zero, one or both of these are what you are looking for.
My system default browser is Firefox and I've got that setup to allow scripts, cookies, etc. for various stardock related domains and it works peachy as far as allowing scripted content and remembering my site logon/passwords via the white-listed sites I visit. However, I've not yet sussed out which domains I need to allow wrt using Internet Explorer through Impulse. The situation currently is that at the launch of Impulse when I click the Community tab, it shows
Thanks for the response.
The description is on WoW's site here: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/other-downloads.html The desktop itself - and 'required software' is hosted by stardock here: http://storage.stardock.com/files/WorldofWarcraft-Desktop.zip The description indicates it's an XP theme, so might want to query which operating system we're talking about.
I don't know anything about encoded/non-encoded... but what you're writing about seems shockingly similar to a post I'd made and somehow failed to post. Is what you're talking about shown in this image?
I noticed the inclusion of 1680x1050, which is optimal for a number of 22" +/- LCDs on the market (including my own). That res is wonky because it's aspect ratio (16:10, instead of say 4:3 or 16:9) is different than all of the other resolutions normally provided in past desktop theme wallpapers. That was an issue because images were distorted if you didn't resize and/or crop them to retain the aspect ratio. So...thanks!
Well, yes, I'm a nag, but I notice the same issue reported originally with the "MyColors" Burgundy theme I'm currently enjoying. Titlebars are invisible if an app window opens at launch to fill the desktop (but not "Maximized") Please advise if Stardock support requires additional info not already provided in the topic and/or if the issue has been successfully replicated in testing (at which point I'll let the topic die and wait patiently for a patch/fix). Thanks!
I need some assistance tweaking MyColors and/or some related Object Desktop Ultimate package settings. I've noticed several issues, but the most immediate is that context menu text is illegible due to transparency, though other menu backgrounds and text appear fine. No other desktop icons, files or even the weather widget that comes with the burgundy package move. Secondary issue: Burgundy's clock widget moves after running some game in full-screen mode, whethe
I was testing this and noticed that you are still on the beta. If you turn off show pre-release and update does the same problem still occur?
This is probably a user issue... but I've not been able to downgrade. In Impulse, I right-click the Stardock icon, and select Preferences. Under General, I deselect Show Pre-Release (Alpha/Beta) versions and click OK to accept the change. I right-click the Stardock icon and choose Check for application updates.
Nucklear, if you're still tracking this issue, please take a moment to see if this other topic describes the same issue you're experiencing. [link="https://forums.stardock.com/316192"]https://forums.stardock.com/316192[/link]

Because you'd saved me the trouble. SeaBass if you've not been able to repro the issue, please let me know if there's additional info I can provide (e.g., DXDIAG output)? <br
Just to make sure the question gets asked. Drivers up to date Aesir? I will be testing this out in the morning of course but I wanted to do the follow up.
Wanted to know if you (SeaBass, or anyone from StarDock) were able to repro the issue described. If not, is there any more info I can provide that will help to track this down? As a side-note, nVidia updated their driver set from 175.16 to 175.19 since I'd first posted of the issue. I updat

Thanks for the response. If/when I replace my motherboard (and thus, the system BIOS), I'll try out Bootskin again. I do wish Bootskin were updated/patched to work on my PC. If there's anything (e.g., a .bin copy of my BIOS) I can do to help this effort, please let me know.
Didn't deserve a new topic for this question so I'll resurrect this older thread for my question: I've a skin (LK from DuoPixart) that doesn't display the logon screen correctly at my resolution of 1680x1050. I went to edit it but can't find LogonXP anymore on my system. Is this still available for users that registered Object Desktop 2007 and have since upgraded to OD Ultimate recently and are now running Impulse instead of SDC?
Bootskin v1.09 did show in Impulse within the past few weeks. But I can't find it now. Bootskin version 1.05 and iirc 1.02 and 1.03 resulted in a BSOD on my system, but I wanted to try 1.09 today to see if that issue was resolved. However, as indicated, I can't seem to find it via Impulse now, and I've uninstalled Stardock Central since I'm now using Impulse. Any pro tips on where/how to obtain the updated Bootskin? [Edit: Possible that that this post needs
Using current updated version of Object Desktop Ultimate apps (as of 24 June 2008), XP Pro SP2 or SP3, along with at least one them (the "LK" theme from DuoPixart), the title bar skins of several apps as well as Windows XP Explorer windows, will fail to load if window is sized to fill the entire desktop area (but not actually "Maximized"). Details: 1 Close or minimize all running application windows 2 Open an application such as Thunderbird, Firefox, or a Microsoft Explorer (not Int
Thanks for the link to the zapper. Coincidentally, I'll need to hack the galciv2 demo install as well, since I just this moment went to uninstall it from Stardock Central and - of course - it failed with an error. lol.
The cursor XP thing is just one of the several issues mentioned. Point of fact, the registration key provided via email post-purchase returns a message indicating the key is not valid regardless of whether or not I install via Stardock Central or uninstall/reinstall from the link to the dl.stardock.com site given in the purchase confirmation email. As for IRC debates... not much to debate. Program installation shouldn't be so 'wrong'. Another example I didn't mention in
