Sorry for replying to myself but can anybody comment? I am positive I have seen this problem (with a different skin) discussed before but can't for the life of me find it. . . I'm probably not using the right search terms.

Hi guys I'm having a problem with one skin, Light Gold by geyster, where the text on the menu bar and toolbar is cut off in folder windows. In program windows such as Notepad it's fine (see screenshot). I've got several skins by this author and this is the only one that displays like this. I've tried to contact him but he doesn't seem to

Font overrides: right click on desktop > properties > appearance > advanced. Agh, Bebi Bulma is right. . . and there are all the missing options! Thanks, Bebi! I feel very silly now but have been used to setting everything from WB config -- never thought to look in Display Properties. . . My face is red but I'm grinning! Thanks again.

Hi MasterSchwag Sorry you're having this problem as well. I don't know if Vista has a default theme other than Aero, but in XP this is the workaround I've found: Open the program, open WB config and apply XP default skin. Open the problem window and size it how I want. Close window. Re-open WB config and apply my chosen skin. After this the window behaves properly and if I manually resize it, it stays that size., even if I close and re-open the program. Howeve

Hi Bichur, thanks for the reply. No, unfortunately I don't think it can, because it's an Explorer shell namespace extension -- if in Task Manager you right-click on the running Turnpike reader, and choose Process, you'll be directed to Explorer. However, some development: yesterday I started having trouble with my computer not properly recovering from standby; twice the nVidia driver BSOD'd, except it wasn't a blue screen, just a completely blank black one. <img src="http://i

I'm having a weird problem with WB 5.5 on XP SP2. I'm currently using 5.50.021 according to Stardock Central; System Information shows 5.5 build 92 x86. In my email and news client (Turnpike), the message currently being read is shown in a separate window. What's happening is that each time a new window opens, it's bigger, in both dimensions. Then when it's practically full-screen, the next message opens in a tiny window, like a web pop-up. It's driving me crazy having to resize the win

Daiwa, you are right! After reading your reply I had another look at the System Info window, and found that if I placed my mouse cursor on the file info section then used the down arrow, it scrolled, revealing extra entries Here's the full list: Wblind.dll 2006/10/09 11:24:20 Wblind64.dll 2006/10/09 12:51:37 Wbsrv.dll 2006/10/09 11:40:18 Wbconfig.exe 2006/10/10

Thanks very much, Bichur and Daiwa, for the replies. Daiwa, I don't have any scroll bars; the WB System Information window is a fixed size and has a border round it, as Bichur said. Bichur, I did uninstall the trial version. First, I unloaded WB. Then in the Registry I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Stardock\ObjectDesktop\WindowBlinds and altered Startup to 0, to stop it from loading at boot, and rebooted the computer. I then uninstalled using Control Panel/Add/Remove Prog

Hi everyone I've been using the trial version of WindowBlinds for a couple of weeks and think it's great, so have just shelled out for the paid version. Everything is working well but I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with. In the Config Window under Basic Settings, I don't have the "Skin Advanced Controls" section shown in the Help file. I thought this would be added when I upgraded to the registered version. Also in Help > Support, it says: "Sug
