Problem with folder menu text

Hi guys
I'm having a problem with one skin, Light Gold by geyster, where the text on the menu bar and toolbar is cut off in folder windows. In program windows such as Notepad it's fine (see screenshot).
I've got several skins by this author and this is the only one that displays like this. I've tried to contact him but he doesn't seem to be around any more
Is there anything I can do to modify it, like copying some setting from one of his skins that works? I'm running WindowBlinds 5.50.021 in XP.

but can anybody comment? I am positive I have seen this problem (with a different skin) discussed before but can't for the life of me find it. . . I'm probably not using the right search terms.
