My thoughts are the tech tree is tiny. It's about 1/4 size or smaller than all the 4X games I have played. The devs seem to have ignored this opinion that many support. We haven't ignored anything or anyone. We read every post and carefully consider all suggestions. We are in Beta 1 and provided only a portion of our research trees

Hi Lee, Thanks for a well thought out post. -We will be reviewing the AI positioning and behaviour in future versions, taking into consideration your experiences. -Our current representation of a solar system is similar to that of a galaxy. This was an aesthetic choice to unify the planets with the star and make each system look like a distinct entity. This is not high on the priority list at the momment, but we are certainly open to ideas. -We are reviewing new ideas for fleets

maybe the other races can salvage resources from the debri of destroyed ships, it would suit the vissari theme. if so, theres no reason the feature would be in the beta at all atm and will only be implemented later. Hum dee hum ...

10. I would to be able to name ships and fleets. This has already been implemented but is currently disabled in Beta 1. (The mystery orange button avove the portrait window)

Thanks for your comments Matty it seems bothersome the way the icons tend to clump the screen on the side when expanded. could it not be possible to compound like structures by having a subscript number for multiple structures/vessels? Absolutely, you can use the 'stack' button above the empire tree. There are various other sorting options in here as well

Hi 1Spartan, you're lucky, there is a fix for this already Do a quick search for FIXED..should be a recent thread. The next patch will also cover this as well. Edit: The fix is here: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=440&aid=148889#1175806 . Also, if you want to reduce the memory, you can d

I can appreciate the desire some have for realistic darker space backgrounds. It is a bit early in development to comment on this. Seeing that there is strong support for both 'fanastical' and 'hyperrealistic' the end game will likely have some combination of both or possibly choice involved The backgrounds will not be replicas of X3 or any other space game. They will stay true to the aesthetic of the SIN

Thanks for the post. The proper behaviour should be in place but there is still too much room for error. We are currently testing a solution for this. You'll know it worked if you see it in the next patch

Many 'fluff' elements have either been removed or are currently underdevelopment for later betas. I would love to reveal the nature of these elements at this time, but it would distract from stability testing I can tell you that as the game plays out and your empire grows, things will continue to become more and more exciting <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0 align=

It was mentioned here somewhere the background color has to do with your race icon color... I have yet to test that theory as I do not know how to change my race icon color... Interesting idea, but no, the background color has no connection to your race icon color. Of what I saw the tactical RTS combat it looked . .Cramped . . ships where big and very closely packed . I am not certain how to address thi

The Tradeships have been reduced dramatically in size. We may do the same for construction ships to prevent unecessary clutter.

One gripe, need to be able to type in the galaxy size boxes, clicking form 25 to 100 is a lot of clicks. Thanks, This seems to be a popular one These kind of tweaks will definately be addressed in later stages.

Hi Lord, Thanks for the post. I can understand your concern, no one wants to criss-cross the screen as they play. The infocard placement is a difficult one. We've had countless iterations along every edge of the screen as well as a tooltip style. The location is not completely finalized at this stage, but I can share a bit of the background behind its current placement. 1) The Empire tree to the left usually requires a significant amount of space in larger games, particularily mult

As Multianna said, there is no NDA. However we would hope that as ambassadors for SINS everyone will take care in presenting beta material. For example posting your best screenshots/videos/stories, avoiding obvious 'incomplete' features, and being sure to state that the game is only in beta 1.
