- the problem is that these updates came at a price, I'm not the only one can't upload new contents (skins) to the site and I'm sure it has something to do with these updates as well. Waiting till after GUIChamps is a long time IMHO to get a fix in place to restore the website's functionality. upload.aspx doesn't work, neither does upload2.aspx using either ie6, ie7, ff3, chrome, etc. If the new login is faster, it can't be by that much, I don't remember any huge latency
upload.aspx or upload2.aspx, neither work for me using firefox v3 - oh well.... it was worth a shot, I'll keep trying later today & tomorrow (but seriously man, I need my fix, I really do, if I can't upload a skin to the galleries, I don't know what I will do, help, please help, my skin is beginning to crawl & itch all over from withdrawal.... HELP!!!!) [e digicons]XD[/e]
https://www.wincustomize.com/upload.aspx works, use it for now.
I have tried this link several times yesterday & today and still no success. I'm downloading firefox v3 to see if it makes a difference - I've tried the uploads on ie6, ie7 & chrome.
Could you take the drive out of the new lappy and drop it in an enclosure and then take the HD from the old one and put it in th e new? YOu might have to reactivate but that's super easy.
I doubt that windows would even boot into safe mode if you did this because of the hardware differences. Even if you then took out your install cd for the OS and attempted a repair, I doubt it would still work and if it did, "IF".
My wife got a new laptop and she wants her setup on laptop A to be the same as laptop B. She's not very technical and I'm dangerously lazy. What program would you recommend us use to transfer everything (OS, settings, accounts, etc.) over to the new machine with the least fuss? Thanks!
Island Dog, nowhere have I said Obama will "wave his wand". Our standing in the world matters a great deal and you know it! All I'm saying is this country can not afford another 4 years of the current policies. Tell me something McCain will change. If he states he'll change anything, that would go against his actions the last 5 yearsI was a McCain supporter for years. Like I said, until 5 years ago, I agreed with most of his beliefs.
hope this comes off as constructive, I'd love an update on the site issues thread, not saying it has to be daily, but a weekly update from yourself or someone else looking into the site issues recently posted would help, I know we (I) tend to post alot of smart a$$ comments in that specific thread but I did post a few actual issues that are affecting myself and a few others and I haven't heard anything on it yet, even a quick blurb that says "hey we're working on the skin upload probl
you sure it's not just a problem with someone wearing an extra long pair of pants (you know , past the heel of your shoe, and the cuff at the end of the pant leg gets all ripped & distressed...), - sorry I couldn't resist
meant to say ISN'T that bad, not IS that bad - I suddenly can't edit posts in the forum, another wc site issue?
- maybe you should reconsider your statement, look at those that are unfortunate to have been born in countries without access to food, water, health care, etc. But I am talking about those who have been around for at least the last 8 years in the states. Other countries will alays have there problems too.
Your statement & reply bac

Are you living a good life with no worries? Are thing really as good as They say? I know that we are in one of the worst times. If you don't believe me just watch the news.
i truly feel sorry for anyone who votes for McCain/Palin. this country is in dire need of a new direction in leadership and McCain/Palin will not provide it. McCain is trying to say he is a candidate of change but he has voted in line with Bush over 90% of the time and he has admitted to it. 3 years ago, i was telling everyone i was hoping McCain would run. i was actually a fan of his and probably would've voted for him dependen
I saw a sys admin booting his machine at another office, the bootscreen was different from anything I had seen, asked him what it was and how he did it, he mentioned bootskin and showed a me a few different bootskins he had used on his machine, tried it and then learned that I could create my own bootskins and I was hooked ever since and that was a couple of years ago. Funny but something as simple as a bootskin brought me to this site and from there it was logons and wb's,etc. I'

so this thing gets turned on next wednesday, I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about it on cnn, considering it is the largest & most expensive man-made machine ever built in history. Simulating the big bang sounds interesting, I guess the big bang theory is no longer a theory. Hope they use ear protection, probably a little loud during the big bang part of the simulation... LOL! c'mon, it wasn't that bad, I miss seeing Jerry regularly on tv and bill just looks funny period, acting or not - if you look at it that way, it's really not that bad. They won't be winning an oscar anytime soon but it isn't the worst video I've seen.
