What does "per pixel" mean, I've seen it in skinstudio but I don't touch those areas because, well... I don't know what it means. I use fireworks mx 2004 and create the required .png files I need for my wb's. I import the images into skinstudio and it creates the required tga files for my skins. I'm not a big fan of photoshop either, I find working fireworks so much easier. Don't know about PSP v7-9, but if it can create png files and you can adjust transparency of those images while you're editing them I would think that would be enough. I've recently created a few logons (4 in total), 3 of them even contain a "splash" (transparently/translucent area positioned on top of the bkgrnd image/wallpaper). They look I guess but I'm wanting to skin the rest of the logon elements as well. On a side note, anyone notice that the download button & ratings area tend to get confused sometimes. I try to download a skin by clicking on the download button and the ratings drop down stars appear (and the message detailed above). I try to rate a skin and the download button gets pressed, etc. I've tried testing this by being super slow & careful when clicking on the download button but it seems that the area sensitive to mouse over events for the ratings system seems to be reaching a lit
I have also tried logging out and logging back into the site and also from different browsers, the same message appears when I try to rate a skin. Strange huh?
Didn't know if I should start a new post on this issue or add a reply to this one and maybe someone will see the updated activity. I can't rate skins anymore, I'm giving a message that appears as a mouseover event when I place my cursor over the rating stars on any given skins. Your system sounds more than adequate enough, it's probably a problem with the software itself, it's still pretty new.
anyone try fireworks? - I find it much easier to use than photoshop cs2 I think the only thing I can't do in fireworks that I can do in ps cs2 is export an image as a 32bit .bmp file (24bit color, 8bit transparency). Fireworks deals mainly in .png's, it can work with other image formats but when exporting .bmp's, 24bit is the limit. Other than that, for ease of use, I don't think fireworks can be beat. Since I started this post, I might as well finish it off. All is well again, whatever programming changes were made to the site recently have fixed the problem. I feel like a wincustomize paid subscription member again! Thanks to everyone for their responses & help on this issue!
