Installed beta 5 test 2, fired up the game. No graphical glitches on the Arcean ship and an just incredible increase in FPS! Whatever you did, keep doing it! You lucky dog you! I noticed you're running an Intel vs. AMD so this might be why there's no graphics corruption. Still, AMD AND Nvidia will remain the 'top dogs' in my book... even if they are a bit 'slow' out of the gate. Any new info regarding all of this?

had stopped their problems by changing the Page file to let windows manage it. Has this worked? I myself am baffled anymore. I don't get the out of memory error but do get the memory write error as I experience a CTD. Other CTD's seem to happen randomly with no prompts regarding memory issues. It might help if those of you getting the graphical glitch check the AMD website for updates; if downloading an update from AMD corrects it, we can just add that to the readme and knowledgebase. No recent updates over at AMD as far as I could tell. I went there this morning to see if there was anything (at least for my processor which is an AMD Athlon 64 3800 single core ) but all there really is are downloads for linux versions and dual core processor
By the way, nVidia does not seem to be releasing any new drivers for the GeForce 7 series. Well they already have a beta driver for the 7 series... I downloaded just today, but haven't installed it yet. Goes from 93.71 to 94. something. So, there is still support for the 7 series. How often do you guys have the saves set to? My auto saves were set to the default 12 turns. At one point in time I took someone's suggestion and set the autosave to EVERY turn, just to insure that if there was a problem, at least I could reload. Stardock is doing US a favor by allowing us inside access to the beta version of the patches. Sometimes you guys have a twisted view on things. They are allowing us inside access to help iron out bugs that their admittedly small staff doesn't have the time to look into. Therefore they are 'insuring' future purchases of their software by doing so... don't ever tell me they are just "doing it for us". Sorry if you guys feel that I'm being harsh with this,
