Thurlin, I tried setting the destination for a colony ship and hitting turn a few times. Then I upgraded the ship to a constructor. The ship upgraded for a couple turns, then finished and kept moving to the destination. The destination cursor disappeared when it got there. Can you please post your debug.err file? Thank you.

Codecritter, I have posted a similar issue with fleets but am unsure if its related. My other thread wasn't noticed, apparently, but I hope you can take a look at it as well. Basically, when I upgrade a ship mid-transit (normally colonizer to constructor), the destination point never clears from the map after the (new constructor) reaches its destination. It occurs in every instance. I assume its a matter of some variable not being cleared and it may be tied into this 1 we

After the initial colinization expansion, I tend to send my old colonizers (after removing the population) over to constructors to pick up some quick resources. Previously, I would send my ships to the resource and update them along the way. When I do this in 1.3b, they upgrade just fine and let me set up the starbase, but the destination pointer never disappears and continues to show the ETA as the original time it would have taken the colonizer to get there. Its almost like the game isn't c

Did the special even occur where the Korx power will increase exponentially? I don't know if that just affects production or their ship abilities as well. But I do know that with that event, if you aren't careful, you can be overrun like fleas.

While I don't have a debug file handy, I thought I should mention that this happens to me after playing for a couple of hours straight as well. Its very repeatable and seems to happen in almost every game. If I restart the game, the issue goes away for at least several more hours. I am playing with v1.2 in case that helps.

So, if you guys want Good to actually gain something with each choice, are you willing to give up the option of having everyone as allies? If so, then play neutral. If not, then you're overpowering good and destroying game balance. While I agree with most of your post, I have to strongly disagree with this part. I normally play neutral for the t

Has it ever been considered to allow ships to orbit planets before colonization. It was, and it was turned down. The devs decided not to allow blockading of uncolonized worlds for balance reasons (you could crank out swarms of dirt cheap scouts and claim all the planets before anyone got weapons to destroy them with). It seems lik

It is only counting tax income. Other sources of income would include: trade from freighters, tourism, tribute/gifts, selling techs, etc. Thank you. Thats what I meant but I couldn't get back in to edit the message.

I need to check but I seem to remember reading that the Arceans are gone, otherwise I don't know who else but I do like Jeznob's theory.

Well you more or less have that now with moral problems and planet defections to other races and formation of minor races. Or are you looking for a full blown war where you need to add strategy ?

@John For one I'm happily married so that whole anti-social complex you just described holds no value. Now get back to your Star Trek episode. You also assume that I'm fat which is also incorrect for I actually exercise. Unlike you who probably just skateboards or some other degenerate sport. I have seen you on other gaming boards. Why do you

That your military is too small or its got to do with how they are pre-programmed to look at your race. Don't worry unless you are a very easy target, it shouldn't hurt you too much.

About the influence points and planets, it seems to be working well I think. Why would you give up influence points or, worse, planets for only a little cash or few techs? You would make someone pay dearly for their added power. If you are at war sometimes you can force them to give you planets for peace. Also, I don't know why you feel its sos much harder to win by influence. I tend to have to be careful not to just win by influence in all my games. Honestly, I wish it would be a little h

I believe its got to do with the luck attribute. With increased luck you have a higher chance of stealing techs. Also, I think it depends on how advanced you are relative to the other races, if there are any advanced techs they have but you don't. I've had games where I've stolen 10+ techs through espionage and others with none. I'm sure part of it is hit or miss.
