That's what I'm here for! [e digicons][/e] EDIT: The shame of it is that there's like 50 absolute sheep...and reviewers that you'd think SHOULD know better, badmouthing DG because there's not a tutorial. Gotta make it plain and simple for those folks.
Dahzeal33
Played a single player skirmish on hard last night with Oak. So far, (for me) he's been the worst of all the DGs. He'll totally attack the DG that I right click on...like once...then he loses it and goes after anything closer to him. ITT Oak is one unruly mofo. UB tends to get stuck, ON NOTHING, pretty often although he looks like he's still trying to move. And you're totally right about Regulus doing absolutely nothing. Maybe he's having a nostalgic

I don't know what this game was designed to do that causes so many problems in multiplayer connections but it is really bad. And just because a few of us have less problems then some other people doesn't give the excuse that they are just dumb. The game should function perfe
Quoting bonscott, reply 4 You guys will learn that Stardock is different. Or they'll go back to DotA, or curl up in a corner and cry - any way you look at it, we all win! (Seriously - is exercising patience a lost social skill?)
Yep, just like common sense obviously, with all the "no tutorial" rants.
4. Yeah, it's a great idea as it effectively pushes the other team back further. They have to battle out of more stuff to get out of their base, but only once you get the upgraded units does it really shine.
Quoting Azrailx, reply 3 tutorials are overrated, getting good at the game comes from trail and error Tutorials don't exist to make you good, they exist to show you how the game functions. Becoming skillful is a completely separate matter.
Because it's SOOOO hard to figure out how the game functions in an easy ai skirmish game or 2. Seriously, the tuto

yep, happens to me on occasion too. it's not so bad until you lose a kill. then it's just.... [e digicons]X([/e]
BUMP!
I disagree with changing the speed as well. I like the strategy involved in the way it is; not just the ability to click in a million places in 1 second because the game speed is high. I agree that we should have some more variety in the maps eventually, but I also see this game differently than other strategy games. It's like chess. In chess you play on the same map every time, but you change your strategy depending on what the other people do. So really, the

Yep, I totally agree. This goes along with the idea of the generals having a hud bar with minion health IMO. Things that go without saying.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to prevent the other team from gaining the money needed to upgrade their Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 citadel...which pretty much negates every upgrade you buy on your own. It seems every game follows the same path, and y
Ugh, that sucks. So when I go to play online i'll be Dahzeal33 and I can't choose my usual online game handle? [e digicons]:pout:[/e] I like being civil and nice on forums, but I like talking some quality shit in games. I don't want to bring that to the forums.
Shape up soldier!
I've only played single player since the 14th. I prefer to get a good understanding of all the DGs and items before I go online. I've had an absolute blast playing against normal AI, but now that I absolutely own normal AI, I need to step it up to hard. Think i'll be doing that tonight actually. Or I might try to learn all the generals first. I've only played assassins so far.
Find a role and fill it. There's always something the team needs the most at any given moment. Instead of trying to do a million things at once, find that one thing that needs to get taken care of.
Good for you! For it to remain good like that, simply never play Dota Good luck mate.
Piss off and go back to DoTA then. This is an awesome game. Why do you "omg I'm l33t cuz I played DoTA first" pricks keep posting when you could be playing your "omg godly DoTA" game?
I think there needs to be more time and evaluation as well. But as I was reading this, I kept thinking on that aura that someone mentioned. Instead though, I was thinking about a ring of influence where you can't command your minions out past the ring, and as soon as you retreat and they're outside the ring, they start to follow you until they're inside the ring again, meaning you can't just fling them at the enemy halfway across the map as fast as you can summon.
This is too funny. Thanks for the laugh! It's really cool to see Stardock playing [e digicons]B)[/e]
Yeah, maybe folks think this game is about light and dark sides meeting together in the middle to have a picknick? [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] Light vs Dark, kill the other guys, blow their shit up and in the mean time click a few things and see what they do. I know it's hard to grasp, but hard work and perserverance, and you might be able to actually kill and easy AI... some day.
HUGE BUMP Really, this is the only major technical issue I have with the game other than the quirky sound (haven't played online yet) I play with ESDF, and have been since the original Quake. This isn't a FPS but the camera control scheme is similar. WASD sucks as it gives less keys to bind left of your hand, and the nub is on the F key, making ESDF easier to find.
So tired of seeing complaints about "no tutorial". Took me 2 single player skirishes to completely know what I'm doing. Technical issues aside, if you can't figure out this easy to pickup-and-play game, you need to go back to your hand holding kiddie console.
