I wonder why to do it the other way around anyway.

This is because the morale bonus gets reduced by the population of the planet.
In my recent game, i got 5(!!!) Precursor Ranger Ships within one game year....Also the Drath got one Ranger and the Krynn a corvett. In any other game i made i get these ships rather rare even with the luck ability. So i am curios if there is a secret mega event which causes the ships to spawn massively. To bad that their weaponry was outdated when they showed up. I wonder why the precursor built such sucky ships.
Kryo said that super abilities are deactivated in the campaign. Also i never used ctrl+n to restart a game, nor did i ever restart any mission
Yes i had this one a few times, too. or something simular: when invading, the soldiers and tanks are in front of a complete black screen instead of normal planet envoirement.
Star Federation is actually a 40% bonus now in Dark Avatar. Late beta change. The game itself still says 30%, but it is listed as 40% in the manual. And government do increase tax income. this may not be your total income, though.

When playing Da, i suddenly got this message, though i was playing the Acrean Empire: Also when updating from a beta version to 1.50.059 directly, you do not get the new desktop icon for DA. Only if you updated to 1.50.057 in the first place and then to 059.
The social production queue still shows a longer time to complete a building then it really needs. May be a compatibility bug with the germen version of GC" since the very first open beta version of DA. Note that the building is completetet in the right time, it is simply shown a too big number.
- A bonus you get via a random event (this one happened on colonizing) is not shown anywhere. Its hard to remember every bonus on every planet if you have plenty of them or did not play for a while. I got a research bonus of 50% for example but I could not find it listed anywhere. Click on Details in the Planet screen and look on the right side. There is a list of bonus features the planet got. Note there are some more listed then only the ones you get f
Where do you get one of those? i mean apart from the campaign? There is a mega eventin DA that let them show up. But they seem to be rather underpowered.
1. When you try to update an existing building to a trade good or something simular, and another players finishes this one before you can, the existing Building gets destroyed. Same happens if you triy to abort an update with the delete key. 2. Sometimes changing the direction in which ships should leave the orbit does not work. Often when i try to launch a ship immediatly after that it will still leave in the default/previous direction. 3. When using the intelligence repor
Yeah i often wondered why a Dl ships survived even when it had no defense at all and i had far more attack power then the enemy ships had hp.
While there was luckily no "sneak a transport behind the wall of uber ships to capture a worthless planet" mission, there are some issues i want to mention: (Major Spoiler warning ) 1. Sometimes the AI completely failed in colonization. For example in the last Mission, the Korath only had 3 Colonies in the whole ***** huge map. It built one or two nice fleets, as they
It could be that you have custom opponents in the game who are using old hull styles? No, the shadows used them. but i could email a savegame as soon as i see it again.
@Bodyless: are you using the GalCiv2 Dark Avatar beta? Also, and this should probably be in the readme, but only the B5 styles will work correctly. That is, don't use the default GalCiv2 styles. Yes i use Da beta 2b. And i only use the hulls from the mod. but i dont know if the ai is somehow using it.

It occured when i wanted to view a ship of another race. Smart exception did not trigger...but that maybe cause i started it after gal civ. but the debug.err in any way...following
I found many ships to be simply invisible. even some fleets, which made my game crash when i tried to fight them in the battle viewer. Am i doing something wrong?
@tetleytea yes. only the miltary/social production (mayby reasearch too) get affect by the techs Another bug about upgrade: if you abort one(or it gets aborted), the old building will disapper.
This was a bug in an older version of DA. make sure you have the newest.
and as for featauril, just look at the numbers you dont need kyro's battle sim or a calculator to see he never had a chance... that fleet would be lucky to score 3hps of damage. But kryos fleet combat simulator gives him a over 99% winning chance.
8. The game does not wait for orders if a ship which was auto moved still had moves left.
6. The event to reduce ty by 25% and triple the trade income seems to reduce the tax income by more like >40%. 7. (At least) the mass drivers gfx hit the wrong target in the combat viewer. the right ships get the damage, but the projectile hits another target.
