I looked over the stats of what everyone had got up to. I was most shocked to see that the AI had not got very far to filling their first 1000 ship slots that this modified version gave you from the get go. In fact, I had out produced my nearest enemy by a multiple of 4 in terms of ships (and my strategy is never ship spamming early on either - rather - econ, econ and more econ).
1. you probably had a better econ that way and you coud build more hips that way. 2. the

Stardock does not lower the price for end users because they are selling the game to retail stores at the same time. Doing otherwise would look like they where competing with above mentioned stores. Which might make them stop selling the game.
Ships will not auto attack buildings which existed at the very start of a game Sometimes this leaves an AI fleet at the edge of the gravity well doing nothing.
If you're not playing the Krynn yourself, then you're communicating with an alien race through some kind of translator device (yours or theirs).
Sry, thats more of an excuse to not change it. It is still a game.
I've noticed recently that the AI seem more inclined to all build the same type of weapons.
Are you playing with tech trading on?
The trouble is, no one else is required to care about any deepness of meaning you give to something. Words mean things and can be used according to those meanings by anyone, whether they give a crap about a word's historical connotations in other cultures or not.
Its the other way around. When using any word you need to care aboout all meanings someone might give to it. Just because it means something specific to you noone is forced to understand it the same way. He
I just dont see the option to install 1.05 Sunage instead of 1.06. I asked because someone told me it may be caused by some extra fixes that were included in the 1.06 Patch on TNG. If you are going to put up the 1.08 Patch its ok anyway. Just please make sure one can do multipalyer with non TNG Users.
with Atari out of the PC gaming business, ...
Uhm, is it Christmas already?
So Vertex4 has released an new Pach, 1.08, a few days ago. Using this Patch on your 1.06 patched game from TNG will make you unable to play Multiplayer with anyone or at least non TNG Users. Otherwise the Game seems to run fine. But when you try to start a Multiplayer Game, it will get stuck after "Compliling Scripts". It does not crash, but wont do anything else either. So could you please tell me how i install an unpatch version of Sunage from STC and maybe release some compatible Pat
You get Achievements by watching replays where another players gets them. I got the Swarm that way.
3. Wouldn't it be nice if we could change the left hand interface to do like LRM x 40 rather than 40 little LRM icons? Full complements on a great interface, but would be nice for an option like this.
Its already in the game. Look at the top left next to the search button.
always guardians and subjugator as soon as i can afford them. disciples and illiuminators as main forcs in the early game. laters also destro crusader depending on what the enemy does. As capital ship i use the Mothership/battleship/carreir combo too. just owns any spammer. An additional mother ship and one of each battlecruiser is useful later on and maybe even more battleships... Defender ships if i spot any carriers. A few purgers help bombing enemy planets but i mostly
I mailed the support about the problem but did not get an answer yet. Anyway i tried buying Sins and i did not even get the option to do it by using tokens. After registering it SDC showed the right version. I guess there is only a problem if you dont own the game yet and its not about my PC since I had the same problem with another PC.
If you want to win with the iconians, your best friend will be the +100% repair ability obtained by some tech. Except for huge ships they will be repaired in one or two turns even in open space. Try to keep your ships alive and you will be able to replace your "losses" faster than the enemy and even end up with a lot of extra hp.
It is still showing as 0.7 and even costs 6 Tokens while i only got 5 left. VERY annoying. (only 16% discount for TNG Users? pff...)
I think it makes me the most sad when I read things like this. Part of me has real doubt about our ability to do anything. Living on the moon, going to other worlds, terraforming....How can we expect to accomplish anything when we still can't deal with our most basic problems here at home?
Space traveling ist a soveable scientific problem while pure stupity is not. Just like Albet Einstein once said, "There are only two thing that are infinite: The Universe
Merchant Trade complex can only be build one time per planet. While Barter station and Merchant Emporium are your standard eco buildings.
The Estiminated Time to arrive for auto moving ships is off as if the game thinks that the ship can move one square less in the first week. There is missing a space in "MerchantEmporium".
In the governors screen, if you click on a planet it takes you to planet. If you click on the improvement being built instead it crashes to desktop.
To quote Kyro: Install Smart Exception from StardockCentral, run it, reproduce the crash und mail the Exception ;p Another bug: Industrial Replicator Lv2 is labaled als Lv 1.
I agree that this would make the decisions a way more interesting. But there are downsides of choosing evil already: noone is going to like you, even non of the "evil" races and choosing good after shifting your alignment to good is expensive. Whiles "good" races will always be glad to trade and make alliances.
Iconian eco techs are marked as industrial techs and the first eco building does not auto upgrade to the second. Fleets attacking single ships still loose too many movement points. Spottet a single invisible korath space miner.
I only got 1gb with win xp sp2 home i tabbed some times and it never crashed, just takes a bit to show up again.

there should be an icon on the right bottom for smart exception (in windows). right click on it and then select "configure" it lists all recorded exceptions. select the one you want to email and click on email exception. enter a description and click on generate. it will open the explorer where a "exceptionlog.zip" file should be with the cra and dmp files in it.
oh my fault, smart exception did record the crash but it gave not message about it. trying to email now...
I got some bugs: When attacking with a fleet (no warp bubble) it will addionally lose x points of movements where x is the amount of squares the fleet moved in the same turn. After invading a planet which had buildings in its queue you dont have the techs for, the will be deleted from the queue and you can use their tiles, BUT the transparent icon will stay on the planet surface till you built something other there. Also some buildings will not be removed like the
