I don't have DA yet, but I very much agree on all three counts, especially the first!

How about -40 in Saskatchewan. And that figure is for both temperature scales
Well good-bye then. I remember the devs hinting that it *might* be present in the GC3, but with your attitude I hope they never implement it. Some of us like the way the system works right now (although I think some of the suggestions here are a good idea), but I don't want tactical combat - at least not without a major re-working of the tech trees.
It would be very cool, but something tells me this isn't going to make it into the final release of DA Maybe in a later patch. Hopefully!
Sweet, an X3 mod for GalCiv II! Must download...
I don't have the beta, but I'm assuming that we're still supposed to have the newest drivers we can get. Yours are quite old for both the video and sound. Might want to update those, especially the sound, if possible.
If you're really determined, try creating a new interface with smaller graphics. I haven't tried it, but maybe with some smaller images it will scale better?
I seem to remember it having something to do with the name selection algo, but I could be wrong. Might explain why the ones that only appear once get used so rarely, if ever.
I've seen this a couple of times. It's been so bad that I've actually abandoned a couple of games because I was sick of waiting for the AI to finish their turns :/
This is already available in the strategy map - just use the decommission button. To do it during the actual battle would require tactical combat (ie, you can control your ships) which just isn't going to happen, sorry.
Yes, it shows a rotating ship. Why don't you just upgrade your card? It's got to be easier than hacking around like this
Problem is that the AI can't (at this point) develop their planets as well as a human can (ie: manufacturing planet, research planet). They tend to go with a more generalized approach that, while still working, isn't as powerful as what a human can do. In any case, I do agree that it's better with higher PQ worlds. Anyone know if we can mod this?
What I don't get is why they removed the old site... It used to have forums and a trailer, now there's just the one page that I can find
It would be cool, but I cant count the number of time I've seen the AI fill their planets with ships and then leave them there, never moving them! This also keeps them from building more from that planet. Now imagine what would happen if they tried to help you 'defend' your main shipyard...
Be careful of your inital economy tho, with that many bonus tiles you could easily end up overspending! Very nice planet regardless
It is: Choose the custom civ as your own, select randomize for opponents and then enable all of them. They all show up on the map, every single time. I think SD has known about this for a while, but they're haven't patched it for some reason. It is very nice to be able to play against all of those races, and it doesn't cause crashes (at least for me), so hopefully they just fix the string tables.
No comment on the respective abilities of the alignments, but what Draginol meant was that they're ballanced in numbers: 4 to and alignment (finally!).
Another expansion for GalCiv I?! Colour me shocked I honestly have no idea how it's going to turn out, but I hope you guys do really well. As much as I don't like digital-only stuff (Steam) it is much more convenient for all, so long as the authentication servers don't disappear. At least you guys will ship hardcopy too <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 A
Are we going to be able to make arbitrary points rotate? Or are we going to have to rely on the modeler's (you) taste as to which will rotate and which won't? Excellent work either way, I've been waiting for this kind of thing ever since I realized that none of the ship bits moved
I like being able to play with all of the races! Note that this isn't the mods fault either: anyone can do it by being the custom race, selecting a random number of opponents and then enabling all of the races. I agree that the string no found errors are annoying however
I never noticed the Yor flash until I updated to 1.3. Now I get it constantly - very annoying. Never seen the farm bug those, sorry.
How many AIs are you playing against? I've noticed that the each race tends to pick a weapon and defence set, and then research those almost exclusivly. That might explain why they've gone beams both times...
All that cheat does is raise the number, not the available tiles. That being said, this sounds like a really cool bug. Do you have your debug and/or save?
You sure you're using a legit copy of SDC? Could there be a trojan dropper in the wild? I hanve't heard of any, but you never know. That would explain the reboot since there's no reason to have to reboot when updating GalCiv...
You don't need 700% research or manufacturing either. We still want them though.
