I doubt this was ever thought of, or, if it was, was deliberately left out. I admit, I'm paranoid. As soon as I can, I equip all my utility ships with weapons. (especially Freighters) I've noticed that whatever Experience a constructor has carries over to the Starbase it contructs, so why doesn't it's weaponry or Armor? (I am assuming this was done for game balance purposes)

Yes, a "disable Ship Auto foucus" option would be very usefull. Though I have to admit, it isn't quite as bad (without the option) as you guys make it out to be.
Ah. then I apologize for being bitchy. Oh, and I did get the stuff back. System Restore is a wonderfull tool. Just not sure if I'll even be able to use most of it. What had really pissed me off was the loss of the Saved Civs. But, I got them back too. Heck, I even had one that had -3 leftover ability points, and several abilities that I shouldn't have had.
A question, and seriously off topic. (though related) Who invented copy Protection, and why it it being called Starforce? As to the support issue? Two options. 1: The charge to re-register the serial code to those who can prove they have the physical (original) game and box/manual. 2: Stardock needs to make a very simple press announcement. Stating. "We do not offer support to those who have bought used copies of our games, as compa
My apologies to Marcathonas, but I did not refer to you answering my questions. I was asking for a member of the Stardock Dev-team to look over the information given, and attempt to fix the update installer so it does not delete all the work a player put into the game prior to updating to version 1.1 direct from 1.0 As to what you did say, Marcathonas, I only had the absolute most basic version of Galactic Civilizations II retail. I then installed the 1.1 update. Not the 1.0-a
Huh, same problem, different page. It happens to me on the Download page, and therefor I can't get the 1.1 update. But from the sounds of things, maybe some hacker decided to attack the site/server?
Vile double post.
Huh, I've had Pirates before too. Nowhere near as strong as yours though, AdmiralWinter. Mine were just 6 heavy fighters, and I blew them away with three of my older Large ships.
Hello. I'd like to report something I consider to be a very serious bug. I had several ships saved, and a few custom Races, from the Retail version of Galactic Civilizations II. I then installed the Galciv II version 1.1 update, and when it was finished, all of my ships and races no longer existed. In addition, the game could not load my savegames from before the update. (I'm assuming this is because the game could no longer find the race or ship configuration files) <br
Hmmmm, I think I'll join this debate. Lets start with my stance. The Personal Computer (PC) is my best friend. Allso, Get the game and it's required hardware 2 or 3 years after it's initial release. Lets move on. The primary reason to enjoy a Gaming Console over a Gaming PC, Especially with an internet game, are the total and absolute lack of Viruses. Viruses destroy computers, and about hal
