It's weird because this is the first game community that's 'ever' had this kind of separation.
As the OP said, there is no objective data to support Erebus being nerfed.
None that 'we' have. I certainly hope GPG isn't simply looking at win ratios on Pantheon when making balance changes, though.

Personally, I think a good chunk of the citadel upgrades could stand some looking at. Character-wise, the only thing that really comes to mind is the already-mentioned Uproot. For a character with the supposed 'massive damage against structures' trait, she doesn't do a very impressive job of tearing them down when compared to other demigods with ranged attacks.
Can everyone who has come to this thread or simply everyone who plays gameranger, say they've tried to do the same?
To be honest, alternative methods like Gameranger have worked more effectively for me and the people I play with since the game released so I really haven't had a reason to keep beating my head against the Impulse system. No port-forwarding or any other tweaks required. I'm sure the official channel works fine now for some, if not most but I
Just put a real ladder in the game and it won't matter. Play arranged teams and nobody will quit anymore, and when they do quit you'll be glad because it means you won.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the correct answer. Giving the losing team extra kudos for losing strikes me as an attempt to swat at symptoms instead of the actual problem. If me quitting doesn't simply end the game with a victory for my opponent and, instead, wastes his/her ti

I don't think the AI is any worse than is found in other games like this but I agree that it has no place in competitive matchups. Any AI is going to be relatively predictable once you figure out the triggers - even Sorians SupCom AI (which I loved, by the way) but it certainly could be worse. If nothing else, I think it's lightyears ahead of Dawn of War 2's AI in most cases.

This is why I generally stick to playing with people I know. Your team collectively spent up to ~$160 to have fun doing their best to win games. You spent your $40 to play however you like. Both sides have reasonable expectations but when philosophies don't mesh on the same team, drama ensues.
Why shouldn't he complain when he didn't get what he paid for??
He has every right to complain but there isn't a single reference in his post to what he's complaining 'about'. It's hard to address the concerns (assuming they're issues that aren't already being addressed in a dozen other threads on here) without knowing what they are. Advocating piracy certainly isn't helping the cause, either.
But what happens when someone new to the game logs on for the first time and sees a list of 50 characters to choose from? see the problem?
Not really. I can only speak for myself, of course, but I'd be perfectly happy to see that. Many people out there enjoy having options that won't run dry quickly. How the community treats newer players trying to decide who they like, I think, would be the only real cause for concern but as tim

I'm 'extremely' frustrated with the movement and targeting bugs which seem to be designed to strike at only the worst possible moments (instances where a split second can literally make or break a significant shift in the game). Opposing demigod just went critical and you need to finish him off? No way. You're either going for the minotaur next to him or you're just going to stop attacking entirely. Want to use an ability to finish said opposing demigod?&nbsp
Regulus' wings now increase movement speed when activated.
I'm happy with (edit) some items on the wishlist but... are people actually disappointed with this ability? A sizable damage increase, an area spread, no upward scaling of mana costs, and a decent AOE (with 'no' mana cost) at 15 isn't good enough? The lack of a fix for the targeting issues is also disturbing.
Already known but still ranting :)
By all means, keep these issues front and center. Thankfully, the game runs fine in multi for me and the folks I play with so response problems are by far, the most irritating problems in the game at the moment. Can they be worked around? Sure, but there's nothing fun about having to compensate for shoddy controls, especially in the critical moments where you need to make a saving heal, retreat, land a well-timed ab

Without knowing the details of how the game went down (a lot can happen in 20 levels), I'll just reiterate that equipment 'can' make that kind of difference. Any of the demigods are ridiculously overpowered with a few of the artifacts equipped. As long as you don't give the AI a significant cash advantage, it's still easy enough to beat. I have no trouble mowing through hard opponents when people aren't available.

As I recall, there's a general-specific favor item that also boosts evade by 10-15% or so. It also gives minions an evade boost. I don't know if the AI actually takes favor items but that's another possibility. I could have sworn some of the boots had an evade chance as well.

1) Negative. 2) I'm not sure how the linking mechanic works so I'll leave that for someone else. 3) The priests do heal but there seems to be a long cooldown on their ability to do so. It's easy to miss unless you're really watching them closely.

You can buy them in the item shop (you'll find them in the consumables tab) and using them on a flag prevents the flag from being captured for 45 seconds or so. They can be handy for close fights when keeping a flag will give you a major advantage. (ex: keeping the center heal-crystal flags in Exile if you need to step away and heal, leaving the flag exposed).

That was a long post so forgive me if you addressed this but... wasn't Hellgate segregated in some way between paying subscribers and, well, "the rest?" In HGL, I suspect quite a few people had a pretty good reason to feel entitled to added content. Any issues that arose from the devs frantically trying to fulfill that obligation, I'd say, was entirely their fault. It was a bizarre business model to begin with. As far as DG is concerned, yes, people are going to ha
Am I asking too much?
Maybe not too much but I'd say you're asking for the wrong adjustment (assuming one is needed at all). I'm not going to pretend to be a pro here but if all else has failed (taking advantage of available speed boosts, potions, stuns/silences of your own, etc.) and there really is absolutely no way to get away from the UB, then I'd say it's the UB that needs a fix. I really don't think teleport scrolls should be a flawless "get out of j
However, favor items are ruining the game because for many people, earning them is impossible due to bugs keeping favor permanentely stuck
Which means that a bug is ruining the game for people. Personally, I think that all of the items should be balanced and made available from the outset without any point costs in any truly competitive setting but for custom and other games, favor items (as they're intended to work) are fine.

Too many details missing here to give much useful advice one way or the other but if, by 'full armor setup', you mean you were actually putting your cash into your armor value, that wouldn't have helped you at all against the TB.
I wish they'd last a little longer, though I never actually knew that the citadel upgrades affected the towers
They don't. The tower stats are only affected by the level of your skill. You can test this in about 20 seconds by using a tower, buying the structure defense upgrade, and using a tower again. If you do this at the beginning of a game, both towers will have 1500 health before and after. I didn't notice any AOE effects the last time I t

1) I could see getting a month or two out of it for the time being. Again, not having an interest in the competitive community, I tend to get bored quickly so without new content, I'll probably be off to something else well before a year is up. If they do add new demigods and maps and such, I'll probably stick around significantly longer. 2) N/A. 3) Not having played DotA, I'll just say that the differences, to me, seem relatively subtle in a one-on-one slugfest bu
